Worked great in Amazon Rainforest - Insects don't like it
I was pleasantly surprised how well this Ranger Ready Picaridin based product worked (20%). I was on a cruise up the Amazon River to Manaus and the cruise stopped in three ports, plus I spent an extra 3 days in Manaus on my own. I was there in mid-March which is still rainy season. Frankly, the bugs weren't bad at all, which was another surprise, but I always sprayed myself with Ranger Ready before going on hikes or boat rides up the various rivers. And I was amazed at how well it worked - bugs, especially mosquitos which worried me, never got close to me. There is something in the ingredients that simply repel them. The product is super easy to use, especially with this pump spray applicator bottle. And you don't have to over apply and the instructions are clear on that. With the intense sun, I applied sun screen first (as instructed), waited about 15 min then sprayed the Ranger Ready directly on skin. And with this applicator, it only took a couple minutes to apply. And for face and neck, apply to palms of hands and then to face and neck areas and that works well. I never had issues with skin irritation anywhere including the face. It is not oily or greasy feeling at all and dries in a few minutes leaving very minimal residue. I also applied to my hat directly and on socks and shoes for good measure, and never had an issue with any stains or damage to the clothing, and I was wearing the breathable synthetic fabrics which are more likely to damage I think. I am also heavily into photography with professional gear and always worry about damage to camera grips, etc. with some products. This Picaridin does not damage plastics or metals at all. And since it basically dries to the skin, there is minimal transfer of repellant to surfaces anyway. And another plus is the smell/odor. It is actually a fairly pleasant smell except to bugs. Kinda has a peppery scent, which should be of no surprise I guess since it is somehow a derivative of a pepper plant as I recall.I highly recommend this product.

Works in Cuba!!
Works perfectly in Cuba, i go to Isla de la Juventud cuba and it worked exactly as its supposed to. On a previous trip i took repel 100 which didnt do anything so this time i thought i would go for one with a different chemical and now i know picaridin is the chemical that works for mosquitoes and bugs in cuba. One thing i didnt take into account was water(beaches and such) this repellent isnt waterproof so i ended up getting bites just after getting out of the beach but that is on me not this product. Next trip i need to see if there are any picaridin repellents that are waterproof. Also, i am the type of person that mosquitos adore to death 😂 lol they have a full on buffet with me so any time i go to cuba i desperately need a repellent that actually works and this did just that. But i gotta look for a waterproof one if it exists and if not look for some other alternative for when i go to the beach

Better than DEET in every possible way
Ranger Ready Picaridin Insect Repellent & Tick Spray is fantastic and it has become my go to spray -- I detest DEET products. It provides long-lasting protection against mosquitoes and ticks without the strong odor of traditional repellents. Unlike DEET, it has a pleasant scent and doesn't leave a greasy residue, making it comfortable to wear. The spray is easy to apply. I've use it in the summer and on a recent trip to South Africa (no malaria here!), and it has consistently kept the bugs -- especially mosquitos -- away. It's also safe for clothing and gear, with no damage or staining -- which makes it so much better than DEET in my book. Whether hiking, camping, or just enjoying the backyard, this repellent is reliable and effective. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a strong yet pleasant insect repellent.

Effective
Works great to keep the mosquitos at bay. Not greasy. I don’t like using deet because i feel like I’m poisoning myself. Picaridin is a great alternative and works really well. Mosquitos love me and the Picaridin spray keeps them away. The orange spray is very pleasant. Unscented is also nice. The Night Sky fragrance is very strong and reminds me of Axe for men. I don’t find it pleasant. I like the smaller size bottles because they are easy to put in a bag or keep in the car. I wish you could buy 3 of the orange fragrance and not have to get the Night Sky in the mix.

Don’t travel with these
Product was fine. Smelled good and repelled SOME of the mosquitos/ insects. If you travel with this product, you will be stopped at every airport and asked to open your bad so they can see it. I traveled within the US and Outside the US and got stopped so they could check my bag every time because of this item.
