Highly recommended by mother's doctor
My elderly mother has 2 bad sores on her foot. One has became an open wound and the other is just very sore. Her doctor told her about this and wanted her to try it. She had me order it for her sleeps with it every night now. She said it did take a little to get use to due to it's size. But where she was sliding her foot at night to cause the sores in the first place, this has helped her out a lot. It is a little pricey, but as long as she is happy and it is working, that doesn't matter. her health is the most important thing.

The Best Heel Float We've Found
My wife has a fully disabled leg and as a result has had numerous bouts with heel sores. She can neither move it around or feel the pressure until there's great pain. We've tried waffle boots, which work but always spring leaks. We've also used other foam boots with mixed success. The Prevalon has a fabric on the inner surface that resists slipping and misplacement of the boot. Other foam boots we've tried often roll or twist which causes pressure problems. Not sure if I described this well but the bottom line is that this is the best boot we've found in 10 yrs and would purchase another if this one wears out.

Good boot for the foot being elevated
This boot has helped with diabetic ulcers. I purchased this for my father but had to put the boot on and take it off for him. He had difficulty putting it on himself. It is not meant for walking around in. The Velcro straps have a generous length to them. I wouldโve given it 5 stars except for his difficulty in putting it on himself. Also it wouldโve been nice if you had the choice of right or left foot.

The best product for offloading heels
I consider these the gold standard in offloading boots. They are way more expensive than foam boots, but they last forever and can be washed. The foam boots fall apart in a week or two depending on how much the person moves while wearing them. If you are taking care of a wound that you believe will heal quickly and never return, get the foam. Any other scenario will be served better by these.

Works but would consider other options next time
The pro is that this is a very cushy boot, has a long end which supports the calf and does help keep a heel pressure sore elevated if positioned correctly. The cons are that it's very expensive, there are other similar products for much less. Also, it works best if the person keeps their leg elevated, centered on the back cushion, foot at a 90 degree angle, toes pointed toward the ceiling. If the leg lays to the left or right side (like pigeon toed), it doesn't cushion as much because the leg lays into the corner seams where there is little cushion. The straps are wide but one ripped off on 2nd use after an uncooperative patient tried to pull it off.

Easier than others to put on.
Great protection for a troubled foot. Very easy to put on with strong velcro ties.

Non-healing heel ulcer
The boot is wonderful! It does exactly what it is suppose to do by keeping the weight off of my husbandโs heel. Good quality and very much worth the price. Would recommend it highly!

Comfortable, durability issue.
Purchase this item previously, and was satisfied with it. Needed to buy a second one and within a month one of the two Velcro straps literally pulled off where it was attached. Definitely does what it needs to do, but I personally would be leery to buy another one given the quality issue that I personally observed
