I've seen some negative reviews on here about how hard and tasteless this cheese is. That's not who this product is for. This is something to idly gnaw on, an oral fixation, or someone who needs a busy mouth, etc. One piece lasts at least a day if not longer, these are HARD-- one reviewer compared it to a lego brick, and I think that's a good comparison. Actually if I didn't have a piece, I'd end up idly chewing on a plastic straw, lego brick, or other bad things that are much worse to gnaw on than rock-hard cheese.

Read all of reviews. I love cheese!! This is not related to any cheese product. They call it "Rocks" for a reason. Extremely hard. Microwave did not help it. Someone said it was like gum, it is not chewable like gum. Very, very little taste and that is not satisfying. It is like chewing on a chunk of shoe sole but the sole is softer. It is not returnable. It will make an interesting conversation piece. I did say ONE thing nice, I LOVE CHEESE! Save your money, I used mine for the experience. If you are ever offered a Himalayan Pizza, FIRST ask if it has Chhurpi cheese on it. Settle for a Yak steak!

This product has a good amount of hardness that takes a long time to chew through. I have found other ones, but they are usually too soft.The taste is underwhelming, not the best, but it will do. if you are looking for something to just chew for a long time, I would recommend this. Keep in mind that your jaw will start to have some tension after chewing for a while.

Like having hard candy that lasts hours without rotting your teeth out. I like having something to “knaw” on, that breaks down slowly. Yes it is rock hard, and flavorless…like chewing on a Lego! I do wish that it had salt or another light, natural flavoring…pepper, mint, etc. It would probably make it more appealing for all!

How the cheese nuts (chhurpi) are described as hard and breakdown with saliva and gnawing is accurate from my experience. While i have only had 2 pieces thus far, not a lot of experience, i can comment on things like how hard (like chewing on pine i think would be ), the taste (almost flavorless), how it breaks down (grainy). One caution i would add is chew carefully, so much so i think if you have any dental issues with your teeth you should consult your dentist before trying to their take on how to proceed using this product. As far as an improvement of the product the thing i would try to do is infuse something flavoring that enhances it but not sugar or sugar substitute, will have to think about could be added to it for flavor without changing its hardness, longevity,…while maintaining its healthier attributes.

Not sure why my father recieved two packages of these because I had a hard time ordering them and had to cancel one so hopefully I was not charged twice

This is more of a novelty item for humans than anything else. It took hours to consume one small piece. Again, it had no taste and had to get broken down by saliva over hours.I now have a lifetime supply!
