Advent Calendar: Marvel 80th Anniversary, 24Pc

UPDATE: Correct item received the second time around! Absolutely love it! I can't wait until December to open this with my son. Excellent quality! Original Review: So I was super excited to receive this advent calendar since my son is a huge Marvel fan and I know he is absolutely going to love the little daily surprises. Unfortunately, we received the Harry Potter version instead!! The label on the outer box clearly states "Marvel 80th Anniversary" so not sure where/how the mix up happened. I'm going to reorder the Marvel version and hope I get the correct item in a couple of days! If it's anything like this Harry Potter version, it looks like it's going to be a high quality item. This one came very well packaged and looks great. Will update to 5-stars once I receive the correct item!!

Nice quality, good character choices. Great, until I realized I would have no place to keep all the little dudes... But! I carefully cut the MARVEL cardboard "doors" off of the advent calendar and purchased a display case for them all. This case is the right size, sturdy, has a sturdy door on it: "Ikee Design Acrylic Display Rack Case Organizer Storage, Shot Glass Display" is the Amazon description of the case I bought. I just lightly sprayed the outside of the back of the case with some spray adhesive and carefully attached my precut to size MARVEL cardboard to the back of the case. It's a clear case, so it shows through. Works for me!

Got this as a gift for my brother's birthday. It's exciting to see who you get everyday. The figures are really good quality too. They have a good weight to them, they don't feel like there made of cheap plastic. The paint job on them is good too. Only think I do wish is that it told you who the figure was (maybe on the bag is comes in or on the inside of the door?). Some were a little harder to tell (ie Loki appears as he does in the comics, not the movies. I'm sure die hard comic books fans would know this but a list would be nice as well). Google did help on the ones we were stuck on. Overall, I definitely would buy this again!

Absolutely wonderful! My 17 year old daughter LOVES this and if you can please a teenage girl, you’re magical and close to miracle workers. The pieces are adorable and perfect little gifts every day until Christmas. Super fun to see what she gets everyday and she even likes to show me. What??? A conversation with my teenager, too? Interaction without her phone?? Unheard of! Buy it! Your kids will love it.

This is such a cool advent calendar!! Every morning leading up to Christmas, my son get's a new toy!! He is so excited everyday!!! (It's only been 7 so far). Here are my 2 complaints which are minor....It's not very Christmasy, but I fixed that by doubling it with a traditional chocolate calendar. So he gets a sweet and a toy every morning. 2nd, the doors are a bit tough to open....you need to really put pressure on the front to rip the perforation, otherwise the whole thing will come apart. We simply fixed that by opening with him everyday as an anxious 9 year old is ready to tear into it. The only reasons I dropped it a star....otherwise great value and really fun idea!!!

I pre-ordered this Advent Calendar and it came in October. I was good and waited till December to start with it. However, I would get emails starting back in October to review this. What was I supposed to say? Its a cool looking box with 24 doors. This was the down side...and waiting till December. It is now December 16th, not quite done with this, but there are quite a few of us enjoying this calendar. We take guesses as who will be next before we open the door. In 1 case we had to figure out who it was, after we opened it. Plus they are cool looking. Now that they see it, a few more want it. Another is trying to find one for their kid next year. I think it was a worth while purchase, but I do with it was cheaper. Last note, If you Display, they take up quite a bit of room. I have a display I use that shows 3-4 regular sized pop. These little guys will probably take up 2 shelves, crammed together. More if you want to clearly see them.

This one is so much better than the other marvel one. No repeats and they’re all in their comic book suits. 10/10

I really wondered what I was getting myself into with this price point.... Christmas season arrived and the advent calendar began. The box is actually quite beautiful. The individual compartments are made from a thicker cardboard so my little sometimes needs some help to open the doors but I think that is a good thing compared to other products of similar nature. The characters themselves are quite well done. They are about an inch and a half tall but extremely well done. I hope they release a different version of this again next year, I will absolutely be purchasing it.

Quality of the box is great! Funkos pocket that come inside are good quality as expected. However we also bought the funko dragon ball calendar and they seem to be more detailed (but the box quality is lower for dragon ball ones). They are very nice and exciting to include in Christmas if you are a Funko lover. Already planing with my partner which new one to get for next year.
