Blaze 60L Backpack

This is really a great pack. I took a deep dive into gear reviews and Reddit threads to pick a new pack, and this is the one that stood out. Fortunately, it lives up to the hype in person. It is lightweight, with tons of storage and a very comfortable fit. I used this pack for a three day backpacking trip on the Art Loeb Trail and it rode well and held up to a lot of abuse. The features on the pack are highly functional and easy to use, and it fit all of my gear, plus a bear vault, with ease. If you're looking for a pack that is lightweight, but still capable of carrying heavier loads, this is the one.

I've been using this backpack for over 4 months now as a training pack. I am now up to 45 lb of sand/ gym weights in the pack and it hauls that large amount of weight very comfortably. I hike up a 1.5 mile steep incline in combat boots to a peak and then back down 3-4 times/ week. I am very impressed with its weight carrying capabilities and in my opinion a much better purchase rather than buying a very expensive weighted vest. For hiking, this would be an awesome backpack and I plan to order a separate one just for that purpose. For those wondering, the waist pockets are large enough to fit my large Samsung phone just fine.

This is a great affordable pack. It’s adjustable up and down with ease. Very comfortable. Water bladder pocket is tight! Very versatile!!

This backpack is lightweight and comfortable. I used it for a trip in the Dolomites. It is flat enough I was also able to compact it in my suitcase for my overall trip to Europe and only use it while hiking/backing which would not be possible with my Osprey Atmos 65 bag. The price was very reasonable as well. This bag has less compartments than the Osprey but is lighter and very useable. I see why gear labs recommended it. The price was also reasonable. I am recommending this bag to my friends.

Light weight? Yes. Comfort? Not really. The back panel has some stiff Pads for air flow that are great, but you feel each one in your back when fully loaded with 20 or more pounds. Love love the adjustable hip belt as a big guy at 6’ 235lbs, but that back panel was just too much for me. Had to return 😢

I just got back from a 37 mile backpacking trip through the Ozarks. I have an Osprey Atmos that I love and have worn on multiple trips, but wanted to try this one since it was a pound and a half lighter, though I found when caring 40 lbs it made no difference. But I absolutely loved it! It made the Atmos feel bulky and lumbering. It has a sleek design AND you can reach the hip pockets WITHOUT taking off your pack!!! It felt just as comfortable as the Atmos, though your back will get hotter, but I prefer to backback in cool weather so it didn't bother me. The only con is that in order to make it a sleek design (it's more like a tube) and still hold 60L, fully packed it protrudes above your head about 6" (I'm 5'8"). So if you're hiking through the woods (like the Ozarks) and have to go under brush or downed trees, it can be taxing bending down with 40lbs on your back. But overall I LOVE this pack, the Atmos is amazing, but this holds the same weight in a sleeker design.

After wearing an old 7lb Dana pack on my last hike I decided to go much lighter. A main consideration is that the pack be comfortable even with a heavy load. Most 'ultra' light packs are going to be uncomfortable at their max weight but even with 35lbs this pack carried comfortably, and I had few issues with it. I'm still playing with the idea of putting the lid on the front of the pack and carrying my water and snacks on the front. This helps offset the load in back by a few pounds. The two pouches on either side are hard to access and I had to ask other hikers to get my water out. The belt pouches work well and hold my LG cell phone, keys, wallet, etc. Space is a lot less than in my old Dana (100 liter) but the Granite Gear holds everything I need for a multi-day hike with ease. Most of your space is taken up by tent, sleeping kit/mattress, and cook kit. After that it's clothes and food. We tend to hike in cooler weather so we tend to carry more clothes but in warmer weather with few clothes, you could go many days out with this pack. Plus, the side pockets are so big, you could carry the tent and sleeping bag/mattress on the outside freeing up a lot of space inside. It's very versatile. There are lighter packs but this one fits me well. It's very comfortable and in the event where I have to carry a heavier load, it carries it very well.

Got this backpack after returning a previous cheaper one. Do not cheap out on a bag this one is 100% worth it especially if it’s on sale. Have only taken it out twice but so far it’s amazing. I like the fanny pack option as well as how much the bag is able to hold. Only thing is I with it had a couple of pockets on the shoulder straps

I've used it with about 20 kg load and it was still really comfortable. + Great quality and ergonomics. - The back material is causing skin to brush on the lower back, when it is hot and you are sweating.

Great pack. Very comfortable with heavy loads. Synches down when not fully loaded. Great feature set with solid build and reliable components. I sold it due to needing a lighter pack and regret not having it for those 'Big Trips'.

I bought this from US to Aus and it came surprisingly quick, at least a week ahead of schedule. However, when I opened the package, I noticed that the hip belt and top pocket was missing. After looking at the bag to see if there was anything else missing, I noticed that a zipper string was also missing. I bought this bag for a camping trip I have planned soon but might have to look for other options if this can’t be sorted. A shame as I was excited to try it out, have heard many great reviews for the Blaze.
