4" Cold Air Intake System + Heat Shield For 99-06 GMC/Chevy V8 4.8L/5.3L/6.0L / Silverado 1500/2500/3500 (Black)

So the pictures are 1: everything laid out and accounted for, 2: before picture of the old stock air intake, and 3: post installation of the new cold air intake from MooSun. So talk about a smooth installation. The hardest trouble I had was unplugging the stubborn stock electrical air sensor from the stock air intake. However, a YouTube video solved that. I love YouTube. Anyway. I am not skilled at automotive modifications, not at all. But with the included step-by-step guide, this was like building with Legos. Some of the parts I didn't understand the name to but using common sense and "Hey look! it fits!" made this an easy upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Don''t spend $100 plus bucks on a filter from a name brand company. MooSun has got you covered on the cold air intake front. This is one upgrade that you can cheap out on and still get a great product. So after the upgrade, which took me about 2 hours, I took my Tahoe out for a spin and it's now got a really cool "sucking" sound when I rev the engine. I think it performs better too, but I don't have a Dyno HP measuring scale. Bottomline, this product is easy to install, the parts are well made and quality, and everything was included. Well actually, I had to use 3 of the 5 old air intake screws (as instructed in the instructions) and one of the old hose clamps. I might have used a hose clamp where it wasn't necessary, but hey, my Tahoe runs great, and that's what matters. Thank you very much for giving me a great product for a VERY good price MooSun. I WILL look for your products on future upgrades.

Worked good on my 1992 chevy obs LS swap. I slightly bent long bracket and it bolted to passenger side valve cover it even came with isolator pad. Good price! It also accepted a maf sensor that I purchased from Amazon. I recommend purchasing.

So I ordered this product because my edlebroc cai kept falling off because I had it jimmy-rigged on there and I needed something else. I ordered this product and, like everyone has been saying, it is not a direct fit. It does fit though, after an hour or 2 of adjusting it. The mounting bracket does not reach the heat shield and just hangs freely. I also had to use my own spectre fitting to get it to stay attached to the MAF sensor. It works and I am satisfied with it for the price. Makes my engine sound better and also a noticeable giddyup when you step on the gas. As for milage increase, I dont know yet. Overall satisfied but it barely fits in there and it was a bit of a struggle to make it work. Will update in the future.

Pretty simple install, took about 45 minutes and that was me being very meticulous about the placement. Like everyone said the bracket that attaches to the air filter box is way off, but once everything is mounted up it’s snug and won’t move at all. I’m really happy with CAI so far. Only thing I did different was keep the bottom plate in below the air filter. I live in south Florida so I don’t want sand or water getting into my intake. The stock filter also would not fit. I couldn’t even get it into the air filter area. Lucky for me though I had already ordered a k&n 4” filter so everything is all good. Looks really trick underneath my hood and I can definitely feel better throttle response and a bit more get up and go. Buy this you won’t be disappointed.

Very easy to understand instructions, quick installation and the results are way more than expected. You can feel the horsepower difference. A lot more engine noise and a satisfying whine when you accelerate. 5/5 highly recommended

For the money it’ll get it done. But it’s not the best fitting one. Took a little massaging to get it to fit where it wasn’t touching the fan shroud. But if you don’t want to spend $150 on one this will do the job. You have to use your sensor mount off factory intake there is no spot on new pipe for it. If you have patience to install. It did give mine a little more pep. Much better performance than the factory intake.

I only wanted the tube because test show that the factory air box is better than the cold air intake, I cut 3 inches off used the boot off the old box. Sounds better and I can just pop a k&n filter in and be good.

So far so good. Easy installation. Took about 15 minutes to install. Noticed the flow gain over stock air box. No modification needed on my 04 Silverado 1500 Z71 Extended Cab. Needed to reuse 1 clamp for MAF sensor (see 2nd picture). Overall, good cold air intake for the price. Cons: clamps that come with this kit are fairly cheap.

Powerful. Makes a good throttle sound, perks up the throttle response and is really felt on high end torque. Only issue is the dinky clamps that could easily be swapped with your stock intake ones or a trip to auto value/canadian tire for better clamps. Good cost/performance ratio

I have a 2002 5.3 and this filter is way too long, it's 10" long. The bracket can't even reach the housing as the filter is pushing off the sidewall. Maybe because the 99-2002 have longer MAF sensors, I don't know, but expect to buy a shorter filter if you want this to work properly. Otherwise, It's mostly decent quality, the clamps aren't great.
