I have the box bolted down to a bracket on the back bumper of my travel trailer. It carries about 100 pounds of equipment and shows no sign on fatigue after about 5000 miles on the road. Even when driving in very heavy rain, the interior of the box has remained dry. **Q: can it mount security on the back of a truck** A: well i have mine inside of a rack that slips inside of the reece hitch. the rack i purchased from harbor freight and the reason i got this one (box) is b/c it's size fit perfect into that rack. i used mine on the rear bumper of my travel tralier (rv), and that is where i have an air compressor and tools, etc....i love mine and it is a very rugged made box. i drilled 4 holes in the bottom of my box and then put stove bolts with large heads down thru it and ran a piece of metal with matching drill holls under the rack and then put bolts with locking washers on it to keep it from bouncing around or out. it has 2 well made hasps on it for locks. i love this setup and box. it was shipped to me via fed-x. if you are looking to mount into a truck bed, it would most likely work, just depends on exactly how you want to get into it. i hope this has helped and not bored you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best cargo box out there *by P***T on December 23, 2025* This is the best cargo box I’ve ever owned. It is bigger than I expected, which is great . It easily fits everything I needed to put in there. It’s been in the back of my truck for a week and so far everything has stayed dry. The only bad thing about it is that the metal latches That hook over the eyelets so you can lock it or secure it are impossible to get undone. The cut out portion of the plastic where the latches are is not big enough to get a normal i.e. my size, finger in there to undo it easily. I end up needing to press down on the lid to take some of the pressure off and use a key to pry the latch forward so that I can get my finger underneath it to open it.
