Test at 3.7 Volts 18650 and 10mm spark gapIt works very well at 10 mm it does not work at 15 mm and it sometimes works at a 12 mm spark out using 3.7 V 18650.Well worth the money I recommend it.

Have not used this in anything yet but briefly tested it.It works, produces an intermittent ~2cm arc in air.It is a completely potted cylinder ~1"x3" looks solid and well made and is very inexpensive.I might use it for some display or discharge machining or a cigar lighter or an electrified fence of some sort.Purchased mainly for curiosity and experimentation.

Not sure how to stop power to the battery using 2 switches when I turn of the first switch and the button switch gets pushed it still sends power through the battery making it hot

Pros:- Easy to figure out- tested using 1.5v-7.2v without issue for 2 seconds at a time- Visually the arc produced looks amazing- The sound produced when arcing is pretty wicked and intense- It gives a good jolt that but unless you have a medical condition I doubt this would kill anyone. It didn't kill me at least when it slipped and zapped me on my leg.Cons:- Saying it has 400kv output is an outright lie. Actual output was from 5kv-9kv depending on what input voltage you used.- The output wires have a very small diameter making them very flimsy and hard to work with. The wires really need to be soldered or twister and taped to safely secure them to a battery holder for input and the output to whatever the arc is going to be used on.. I don't think any connectors would be small enough for wires like this unit has.
