They work!
These are not the greatest tuners but they do the job. I recently restored and repaired in old ibanez Acoustic guitar. The tuners were broken so I decided to replace them along with a neck repair some re gluing of the bracing and some cosmetic changes. Like I said they are not great tuners but they do the job. the ratio is much slower when tightening the strings than the originals but sometimes that comes in handy when trying to fine tune a problematic string or a nut that sticks. They look great and they function adequately so, for the price they can't be beat. I would definitely purchase them again if I was doing the same kind of project but only for a lower end guitar. I would not recommend these as a replacement for Grover's or whatever originals you may have unless you're just looking for tuners that work. So far it's been a little over a month and I haven't had any problems with them. I noticed that some of the reviews said that they fell apart or that they came broken... I did not experience any of that .

If you're looking for cheap machine heads, these'll do
These fit on my Epiphone DR-100, which after 10 years the gears in the machine heads became worn down. These machine heads do the job and are one of the most affordable options on Amazon but they seem a little cheap (not necessarily flimsy). It was a little sad to replace my old weighty feeling machine heads with these lighter, plastic-y feeling ones. I can't really tell if the gears are heavy duty but I guess time will tell.

They're hard to install, they slip gears, takes forever to get 'em, so buy a bunch today!
Because they're really, really cheap. So cheap that if some don't work or if a part doesn't fit right then just make sure you buy extras. I had no choice, needed 8 (mandolin), ordered them because I wasn't sure if any of the tuners I saw online would fit so if I had to take a shot in the dark I wanted to go with the cheapest ones with mounting hardware similar to mine. They fit. They were hard to install, screws or bushings did't fit, etc. They slip sometimes, you have to fiddle with them to get them geared again. The first time it shipped it was lost, 2nd order took about 10 days. Did I mention that they were $5.77 including shipping and that they fit, and once tuned they stay tuned? Not for everyone but good enough for me and my resto-job.

Closer Look at these newer semi-closed tuners
These tuners worked out for me, I was restoring an old 1970 Carlos 210 acoustic guitar. My old tuners were damaged from the headstock being knocked around a lot so they had lots of wobble when you turned them. I noticed my old 6E string tuner had a gear slip at some point of turning the knob and repeated; opened the old tuner and found the shaft gear had the threads near the end worn down more than any other tuner. Other reviewers had mention plastic gears are in these new tuners but the one I received are not - just colored black as shown in my photos. I wanted the look of the semi-closed tuners just for the sake of being vintage style but if I were to improve the guitar - I'd go for the newer type of sealed tuners in the $30-40 range.I've noted in red text on the photos points of interests. If these tuners break, then I'll use something else. For now they work fine for me. Compared to the old tuners I replaced the new ones have evolved with the differences I point out in the photos (sorry if the text is hard to read).

cheap tuners
These are your typical cheap Chinese made style B tuners. Semi enclosed back, which is removable so you'd have open back tuners. These come with LARGE buttons on them in case you are thinking of replacing the tuners on your 12 string. kinda cheap but I haven't been able to find anything else. I wish more information would be given in the description so you could know if these will work without guessing.

It will be good to have the extra ones on hand in case ...
Bought these to replace a peg with worn cog teeth which made one string impossible to tune. This was on an Epiphone acoustic guitar. The new part fit perfectly. The only difference was the supplied screws were a little bigger then the ones that came with the guitar. Also these have a screw at the end of the tuning keys.I was able to use the existing screws without issue. It will be good to have the extra ones on hand in case this happens again. I've no got these, a precision screwdriver and some extra strings in my case to handle.

Good for a budget
Solid tuners that are better then stock for some older Chinese made budget brands. Holds tuned fairly decently, but wouldn't expect them so stay that way after an hr of playing.G string bend test results: 4 massive bends before going wayy outta tune. 3 time before that only slightly out of tune.Good tuners, but not great. 6.7/10 (i dont give out 10βs)

Cheap
They're ok, not very good quality but they are cheap so can't expect any more. Having said that I have been advised by the supplier that the product will be improved, which of course is encouraging.

Replacement on Encore Acoustic.
I broke one of my tuning heads in my Encore Acoustic. This has been a good replacement, although at present the action when replacing strings isn't very smooth (slight grinding feel). I have not had any issues with the replacement losing tuning.

Brilliant!
5/5 review - These were brilliant for my Martin Smith Acoustic Guitar. They arrived in great condition, I was very pleased. They were light weight and fit perfectly on without any struggle. Bought as my old ones were in a bad state and I was unable to tune my guitar correctly however after buying these I can now start to use my guitar again. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend to guitar players and musicians.

Fairly bad, flimsy
Fairly bad, flimsy, feels like flimsy material. Not great for tuning - does that thing where you can't tune very finely.

Faulty
Two of the pegs don't align correctly with the turning mechanism, making them useless.Very cheaply made, It seems you really do get what you pay for.I will be returning these and spending a little more on a decent set that don't feel so cheap.
