Does anyone know if the interior is soft?

It is lined and relatively soft.

What materials is the case made out of?

They are metal. Disregard anyone that tells you that they are "hard plastic". A magnet sticks to the case and it sets of the metal detector.

Will my glasses be destroyed if I sit on the case?

I don't think so. It is a hard case. I've been walking around with it in my front pocket with no problems.
