I want to hear the water and not the pump running. Thanks!** A: I don’t hear the pump at all, just the water. I strongly advise you to spray sealer on and in the bamboo. Mine got moldy and disgusting and fouled the water. I had to get a new one and I sealed it, which is what the company should have done. My fountain is beautiful. Good luck. **Q: What are the dimensions of the pump itself?** A: Very tiny maybe 2x3”. I was disappointed. It was great because even if it went dry it still worked. However it didn’t have enough power to real give the sound of trickling water. The pump had to be cleaned frequently Ann mine died within a few months. I really thought it was overpriced for a few pieces of bamboo and a tiny pump. I am going to purchase a better pump and use the bamboo pieces to make a new one.
