Beautiful Quality

This is a great story. However, if you’re buying this for a child, keep in mind there are numerous times the word “ass” is said. There are also several references to smoking and alcohol. It’s also worth mentioning that this edition is not illustrated. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful edition.

This book is just so pretty. A really lovely hardcover copy of this classic.

This is a lovely classical storybook for my grandaughter who is 10 years old. It has rather nice pictures too, but more text than pictures, which is good and better for her learning in terms of good English which is well presented. The questions asked further down in this review refer to the difficulty levels for a child of whatever age. In my case she is 10 years old but in fact I think this is a tricky question to answer accurately as all children learn at different rates and have a variation in reading levels. The question is subjective as opposed to objective, in my view, as a retired lecturer in higher education and an external examiner and writer. My answer is based on my grandaughter's reading skills which, according to her teachers, is 'age appropriate'.

Das Buch war an den Kanten zum Teil abgewetzt und eingedellt. Als Geschenk nicht akzeptabel. Umtausch hat problemlos funktioniert nur war die zweite Lieferung genauso.

Mooi boekje, grappige illustraties. Uiteraard goed geschreven.
