Dometic301096202 2.5 Gallon Portable Toilet, Parchment

Went on a road trip to Florida with my wife and two toddlers and threw this into the trunk of our Honda Civic. I cannot express how quick and convenient it was to make all of the necessary bathroom stops! Anyone with kids will know what I’m talking about. :/ My kids LOVE using it and now my wife is even obsessed with it, greatly preferring it over the public restrooms we encounter on the road. Usually we pull over to a private spot to use it, but I’ve even had my daughter use it inside the car in an emergency because it actually fits (barely) behind the passenger’s seat in my civic. I’ll be bringing this thing on camping trips as well. Love it!

For a portable toilet it's great, but watch out for the back blow. When the slide valve is closed when the bottom tank is cool, if the temperature rises, like on a warm day, pressure will build up in the waste tank. On the next flush the pressures will release when the flush slide is pulled, blowing the pressure up through the waste in the bowl. If the lid is open be ready to take a shower. I'm going to install a fitting and 1/8 in hose in the top of the waste tank so the pressure a will equalize. It was a mess, but I love the toilet. Sure beats a seat on a plastic bag or a hole in the ground. 5 gallons, one fill up lasted 5 days for 4 adults.

I did make a mistake by not getting the 5 gallon toilet instead but this will still work fine. I've purchased this brand numerous times and it works great! I've just never gotten the smaller one. I'm still happy... I can pee!

I purchased this for my little camper . Works as described , but I will say it is small to set on .Very easy to empty .

The Dometic is a good brand. It’s a quality build does not leak like some of the cheaper a Chang Wa brands. I specifically got it because it’s a small size that fits in our camper just right but it’s a very nice and high-quality. I highly recommend.

Functionality is ok.. just too small.. I’m not a large man (6’ 170 lbs) and I found sitting on this very difficult. The bowl is too shallow and the the seat is too short. Might be good for a small female.

This is awesome in our trailer. When the lower part is full, I just pop open the latches, disconnect from the upper water reservoir, and walk with its handle it to a porta potty or toilet to dump. When it's empty I rinse the bottom part with a garden hose so it's clean until next use. Good for me, because I pee at night often, and good for my daughter because it's cleaner than a lot of porta Pottys and public toilets. Great for festivals.

Toilet was used and box was retaped upon receipt. Very unsanitary.
