Only done light use, but impressed
This is the entry level of Soundcrafts wireless mixer range. Good for basic use. Saves having a multicore and mixing console, as you can just plug everything at the stage end and be in WiFi range. The mixer interface is web based, not an app. So flexible for use on laptop, phone, tablet. Runs off its own inbuilt WiFi hotspot but can connect to your WiFi network or LAN.Not sure how well it will stand up under pressure of a full set up after reading reviews online. But I love the capability it has. Everything built in like Gate and Compressors. EQ. Anti feedback.Soundcraft have the UI24R which should fix reliability issus, but a bit out of my price range at the moment.

the perfect mixer for live bands duos and solos.
a fantastic product, I've used mine a few times, upgraded the antenna to one of theseCSL 12dBi rod antenna (2.4GHz) | Antennas and signal amplifier | Omni-directional antenna|WLAN / WiFi (Wireless LAN) antenna| For WLAN stick / access and the coverage was greatly improved. well worth the money. the mixer is the future of live sound. real musicians and sound tech need this mixer. never settle for anything less. you can program shows in so you never need to touch it all night, or you can easy control it all night with and iPad, laptop, smart phone. anything you need.

Great value for money but has comms issues.
Ever since I joined a band that was using a UI16 I was obsessed with getting one. At the time the price was over £400 but it just seemed to offer so much for the money. 16 channels (sort of), graphic EQ on every input/output, automatic feedback detection, digital effects, etc. Well, I'm sure you know all the benefits that this unit offers. If you don't then Soundcraft have produced a number of videos that go through all the features even though they dont't always describe how to use them particularly well. The main issue, as everyone who has owned one will tell you, is that the unit has a tendency to lock out the comms to whichever device you're using. This requires a restart which takes around a minute. To be fair though it doesn't actually stop the unit working, you just can't adjust anything. I'm on the latest firmware release 0.7548 and I bought a longer antenna (although I don't think that made much difference). I probably get locked out about 1 in every 10 uses but I've been lucky in that it was either during a sound check or at a point where we could continue playing and then I just rebooted it at a break. Apparently an external router is the way to go (I haven't bothered yet) or you can use a laptop and ethernet connection. As others suggest it is a good idea to join the Facebook users group for any questions you may have. You will probably notice a number of posts from Danny Olesh who works for Soundcraft. He is very helpful.Despite the issue with this unit I still think it represents great value for money (the price seems to be dropping at the moment too) and even though I've been locked out a few times I'm happy with my purchase. If you're using it for an important event then I would definitely get yourself a good quality external router and a wired ethernet connection to a laptop.

A remarkable bit of kit let down by some design flaws.
A remarkable bit of kit let down by some design flaws. My unit had a digital frying noise at low level on microphone channels especially if phantom 48v was on. (I had to use its noise gate facility to cut off below -60dB.)My unit crashed and had to be power cycled ( up to 1 minute of silence!) when I used multiple tablets to simultaneously control it. ( Using a high gain Wi-Fi antenna and only a single tablet made it reliable.)Also the channel mutes leave the aux feeds on so its only a semi-mute.However the amazing FX, dynamics and EQ available on each channel means I wont be sending it back--YET!
