Amelia Bedelia Goes Back to School

A picture book told in the same style as the classic Amelia Bedelia books. This book is in our back-to-school collection and my son has giggled out loud each year(at 4 and 5 years old). It is a fun book about Amelia going to school as an adult. She takes everything literally, so for example, when the teacher says 'Take a seat.' She picks the chair up and asks 'Take it where?' It's not an informative book about what a first day of school will be like, but we use it as a fun book to read each September before school begins for the year.

It's hard to read this book. Why? I can't keep a straight face, or keep from laughing long enough to "properly" read it! Amelia Bedelia is so much fun! Makes me glad I'm a grandmother, so I have an excuse to read it!

Wanted a book that was cute and not about being scared for school. This was perfect for our Kindergartner!

I just purchased this for back to school time. My 3rd graders love Amelia's silliness and I'm sure they will enjoy this book in the fall.

The book quality was great but the story line was a bit week. I used this story with my kindergardeners and they enjoyed it. I would recommend for 4-7 year olds.
