Iso-Cool Memory Foam Pillow, Traditional Shape, Standard

I’ve been using this pillow for the past 8 years. I didn’t realize it had been that long until I decided to buy a second one. I’ve tried many pillows over the years; I buy a new pillow or two every year but I always end up going back to this pillow. My biggest issue with the ISO Cool Pillow is that it’s not thick enough for me. I’ve never found a pillow that is just right for me.8 years later this is still my go to pillow and it has held up pretty well. Even though it was never quite thick enough for me I think it is starting to lose some of its thickness so I came to buy another, but I’m going to try the “gusseted” pillow instead since it’s supposed to be better for side sleeping.

I can explain. I bought the Sleep Better Signature Collection Medi Comfort Snore Reducer Bed Pillow a year prior to purchasing this one. It is to this day the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. My girlfriend at the time (now wife) thought so too, and she wanted one just like it. So for her birthday I searched the Amazon jungles and came across this pillow, since for some stupid reason the aforementioned pillow is no longer available for sale on Amazon (or anywhere for that matter). This looked to be the next best thing so I bought it for her, hoping she would love it just as much as my pillow. Well, she liked it, but didn't love it, because quite frankly it's just not the same. This pillow is a bit more firm and mine has a bit more give to it. Either way, she still has the pillow, sleeps on it occasionally, and seems to like it OK. But any chance she gets, she will steal my pillow and sleep on it instead. This is a call to the Sleep Better company to rethink their product line and bring back the pillow of mine and my wife's dreams...maybe they won't make a decision on that right now, but they should sleep on it. And if they do bring it back then maybe the rest of us would "sleep better" knowing they care about what their customers have to say. Did you catch all those sleeping puns right there? Funny, right? No? Yeah I didn't think so either.

So I first picked up one of these a few years ago after buying a new mattress. Thinking that new bed = new pillows I took a bit deciding on what to get.Now traditionally I had been much like everyone else, spend 10 bucks or so on a crappy pillow from Wal-Mart or Target, the pillow lasts for about a month before it becomes a flat, crappy piece of crap. This is all I thought was out there and times were dark.I was impressed by the pillows a woman I had been dating had and she told me it was a "50 dollar pillow" and told me the legends of a pillow that is unbelievably comfortable and lasts for years. Needless to say I decided I required one of these fabled pillows for myself.So I had developed a bit of a night sweating problem in my advancing age, it didn't happen all the time but I would wake up in a pillow drenched in sweat. I decided to look for a pillow that would stay cooler to try to assist with this. After looking at many pillows I was brought to these. I pulled out the plastic money card and in about 3 days the mail man brought me a box containing this!Now for the meat and potatoes of the review.You first really the weight of these things. They aren't exactly "heavy" but they have some serious heft compared to your normal piece of crap. I would not use it in a pillow fight because you would likely knock someone out... So if you are looking for a pillow to take to a pillow fight that you need to win to get back your girlfriend or something I guess take this?Anyway, the build quality is fantastic. There is a high quality zipper system and I believe a cotton cover over the internal pillow. I never see them outside of a pillow case but they don't look cheap or crappy. When you lay on it the memory foam conforms to your body/head but still offers a good amount of support unlike anything else I have ever used. It is a odd feeling to get used too as is the pillow taking a few moments to regain it's shape after you sit up.Now for the questions I am sure you have...Does it keep your head cool?Cool? Not exactly. Cooler than your other alternatives? Oh yeah. Unless you are in a cold room the pillow is going to be cooler than a traditional pillow but you are still going to want to flip it over from time to time. In a cold room it reacts to cold weather becoming more firm and absorbing cold. It is kinda awesome but a little surprising the first time it happens.And number two (heh number two!)... How does it hold up?Well I have had my first pillow for over two years now and I can't really tell much of a difference from when I bought it until now. I ended up buying a second pillow about 9 months ago or so and it is holding up just as well.So in conclusion just buy one. Hell, buy several. Give them to your friends. Sleep better and save money from having to buy crappy pillows ever again.

Shipping was very fast and packaging was good. Pillow is very comfortable and seems like quality of the product is really good, I didn't notice any cooling effect when using the pillow but it's a great pillow regardless. Would highly recommend.
