Celox--important add to your kit
Got this as part of a basic trauma kit for my sister to take with her on her day hikes. Get an Israeli pressure bandage or two to go with this and a SWAT-T and you pretty much can take care of most major stuff.I like how this stuff doesn't burn tissue or trouble people allergic to shellfish--or be a naughty b@@@@ to clean out of a wound or possibly break off and travel to cause a potential clot somewhere else. You can get the bigger pouch--or small ones--or ones for gunshot wounds. I got this size for her because it is enough for a major problem but still sized to easily stashed in a smaller bag/pouch than the large one.Great for BOBs or hunting bags or car kits or for your Marine's pack (though he/she might need the larger pack and the gunshot pack), etc. Well worth the cost.

Has a limited shelf life.
This product is great and works without burning the patient when applied to an open bleeding wound. The problem is the shelf life. The product claims a two year shelf life. When you purchase it, you will be lucky to have one year left from expiration. The expiration clock begins at manufacture and continues as it is distributed and sits in storage. I purchased a few for medics that had 6 months left. I believe the product will still work after the expiration date, but for how long? Great product. But, if you have this in your personal/family/bug out trauma kit, it will be long expired before you know it. Good luck.

Makes all the difference.
We used this in cases of severe trauma and it works great. Hopefully you'll never need it, but if you do it can be the difference between life and death. I suggest you familiarize yourself with its use before relying on it, check YouTube. It doesn't take a lot of skill, it's just keeping it secure and proper wound prep.

This seems to be the best out there and should be in anyone's emergency bag
I have not needed to use this, whew! After the research I did I bought this because I don't want to bleed out if some wacko starts shooting people and hits me. This seems to be the best out there and should be in anyone's emergency bag.

But it's an easy product to handle
I expected this to clot faster based on reviews. Perhaps a deeper, concave wound could be packed, and it would stop blood flow immediately, but on basic bleeding wounded tissue, one has to apply pressure for a long time and use quite a bit of the product. You wouldn't want to order any less of this. But it's an easy product to handle.

Generous expiration
Have used the product in the past and it definitely works as intended. I just hope I don't need to use it again, but it's better to be safe. The package I received expires 2/2023.

It clots blood
Good way to piss off the surgeon that has to remove it before doing surgery

Good Product - Almost indispensable item for wound kits.
Good product. Easily packed, does the job and is an improvement over earlier formulas which created heat.HOWEVER, this is a granular powder (if there is such a thing). Under windy conditions a lot of it may blow away. Therefore, 15gm is potentially not a lot for a GSW from 9 mm pistols and over. Thirty five gram packages, celox soaked gauze and celox applicators are available. All expensive as ____ .Check the exp. date.
