The smooth classics of John Barry are in my opinion, the most incredible, beautiful and relaxing music in the whole of the classical world, his music is timeless, and l just wish he had been buried in his native York where l could visit his grave and pay my most sincere respects for a truly musical genius.

I bought this initially for the soundtrack by John Barry, which is brilliant. The score by Barry is to his usual high standard and his arrangements as always are beautiful, evocative and very moving. However to my surprise the rest of the cd is filled with tracks by various artists. Most of them are pleasant easy listening which are perfect background music when I am in the house/car alone. Very pleased with my purchase.

Nostalgic and beautiful that's how I would describe this music! It brought back some great memories of the'90's as well and I'd forgotton how good this album was so I was so pleased to listen to it again. I would recommend this CD as I am sure you will like it too. I will give it five stars -what's not to like? Great!

Worth buying for the included instrumental suite from the orchestral score composed and conducted by John Barry. The rest of it is pop music.

Outstanding. A must have for fans of Incident Proposal. This CD has some wonderful music from the movie missing from the original soundtrack. John Barry's dreamy music just carries you away.

un des compositeurs incontournables de musiques de film, même si sur cd il n'a composé qu'un seul titre, mais quel beau morceau de 25 minutes tout de même. Tout le cd est superbe, beau film et beaux morceaux choisis pour cette BO. N'hésitez surtout pas à l'avoir, cette BO est superbe!!!

I love John Barry's music on this soundtrack. It's just beautiful.

The vocals on this are very good, but I purchased for the original composition of John Barry which is the main title theme. It is the best part of the collection, and truly as beautiful, and passionate as the performances by Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore. Barry had a knack for capturing emotionally charged performances to his equally emotional scoring, drawing the listener in to a beautiful heartfelt moment, or grief beyond words. Listening is hypnotic.

Pese a que se vuelve a apelar a la fórmula comercial de incluir un fragmento de la banda sonora original con varias canciones que rompen el clima de la música de cine para crear una suerte de Spotify reducido e intrascendente, lo cierto es que es difícil sustraerse al hecho de esos 25 minutos de la suite de John Barry. Esa suite, habida cuenta del tiempo que puede pasar para su edición aislada y completa, si es que llega, y, en parte también, por una añoranza profunda a ciertos compositores fallecidos (Horner, Goldsmith, Barry, ahora Morricone), me ha hecho comprarlo. La suite nos muestra a un John Barry que apunta, desliza, recorre, perfila, de manera íntima y sutil, la atmósfera emocional de la película. Sabedor de sus giros y habituales frases, hay una intención de minimizarlas no resaltándolas excesivamente. El sinfonismo lírico no desaparece, pero se limita, bajo las notas del piano, a un acompañamiento delicado. Esta manera de señalar de puntillas hace de la escucha (y la película se beneficia de ello) algo delicado, limpio, intimista y nostálgico. El disco posee una carpetilla mínima, con algunas fotos y los temas incluidos, y cuenta con un total de 55 minutos de los que más de la mitad son canciones que pueden acompañar una velada, pero que frustran el deseo de escuchar una banda sonora completa. No obstante, por todo lo dicho, el amante de John Barry no desperdiciará su dinero porque siempre es un placer poner una pieza notable que te transportará durante 25 minutos a un universo bello, relajado y melancólico.
