Did the Walk of Shame....
I so wanted this product to work! I commute about 1.5 miles to work through back roads and I thought this would be perfect to use on nice days to go back and forth. I am not an ultra save the planet kinda dude, but I did like the fact it used propane and I could keep an extra canister at work in case I needed a swap. I was concerned about many of the issues that were brought up on the product, but did my research and they all seemed to be addressed in the 2016 model. I pulled the trigger and got the unit. First hint of problem was the box. It is still poorly packed. When I opened the box, the cardboard and scooter were all jumbled up and the platform was slightly bent. I looked at the engine and it has a 2012 date on it...uh oh? Did I get an old one? A close look at the box and it has an "Updated for 2016" sticker on it and it has the new handlebar design - so I figure - well I am good to go. Put oil in it, attached the propane and it was time to run the break in cycles - hey this thing is fun! Right away I noticed the oil leak that was supposedly fixed in the new model. Not a lot of oil, but it does leave some drips. NOT GOOD as I planned on storing this thing under the stairwell at the entrance to work....well that is not going to happen with a leaky scooter. Once broken in, I had a few fun rides. It got up to 15 MPH on the straightaways. Up hill it struggled just a little bit around 10 MPH, but it kept going and I was satisfied. Then the day came! I rode it to work in the morning - hey - it was even Earth Day! Took about 7 minutes to go the 1.5 miles, but it was a beautiful morning and it sure was a fun way to get to work. Sure I got a little ribbing from the guys, but then I asked them how far they had to ride to work and they shut up. I went home for lunch and all was well.... Then it happened! Was going down a small hill coasting in idle, got to the bottom and pressed the throttle. It revved up, but didn't go. First thing that popped in my mind was a broken driveshaft -- HEY - didn't you guys fix that problem? Well apparently not. I did the walk of shame home and that was the end of that.....day one going to work and I was done. The scooter didn't even make it through ONE full propane cylinder. Too bad. It was such as good idea, but it is not quite there yet. I gave it 2 stars because I love the concept. Hopefully they can come up with a Version 2.0 that is workable. Thanks for the small bit of fun.

Okay after a few tweaks, then stopped working
The scooter came four days late, not sure if it was Amazon's fault or UPS but that's besides the point. The scooter also arrived damaged. It had a front brake disc that was totally bent. The front tire wouldn't roll. Additionally, the entire unit was covered in oil. I'm not sure where the oil came from because the oil bottle that was included was still sealed, and it was literally in a Ziploc brand bag which was strange to me. I contacted Progo and they offered me a new scooter replacement or a new part. I took the new part offer. They shipped it within an hour of our conversation. A+ on customer service for Progo Scooters. I took off the front caliper in order to test the scooter, relying on solely the back brake. At first the scooter was hard to get starting unless one held the throttle all the way open. The unit would shut off when the throttle was released. I was able to adjust the idle control (search Progo scooter on YouTube for their videos to see how to do this). After the idle was adjusted, the scooter worked 100% better. I had to rotate the throttle lever to face me better because it was underneath the handle and it hurt to use it because I had to bend my wrist to reach it. I have never driven a small gas powered machine before so I wasn't used to the resistance of the engine when the throttle wasn't being pushed. When you let go of the gas, the resistance slows the unit down which is a good thing because you don't have to use your brakes to slow down really. I found that there was a lot of vibration on my feet from the ride and it was starting to get uncomfortable. I don't think that would be common for everyone though because I am somewhat painfully sensitive to vibration from engines (like the lawnmower or snowblower). I hope my review helps some of you. It could be worth the buy, just don't give up hope if it doesn't run like a top right out of the box. Also, don't get too anxious for the arrival of the scooter because it might be a couple days after its arrival that it is in running shape (if you have to replace parts or tune the idle like I had to). I had to edit my review. I ran some short 2-3 minute tests before my review above. During my first long use (10-15 minutes) my engine stopped accelerating. The engine would run but the wheel wouldn't spin. I'm not super savvy with troubleshooting. I have buyers remorse right now. For $400 this is too much hassle to deal with... I am returning it less than 12 hours of ownership. Too many issues for something like this.

Overall love it
Worked great out of the box. Set up was easy and very few steps but the manual could be more clear. Include all necessary tools for assembly, maintenance, and oil was included. So far it rides great and appears to be well designed. The brakes work well and the acceleration is quite respectable carrying a 170 pound man, although I am still breaking the engine in. Noise levels are quiet at idle, but it does make a decent racket at fullbore... But nothing intolerable. Starts easily, usually the first or second pull, and runs well and clean on cheap and convenient propane. Chain is a bit noisy but will hopefully quiet down as it breaks in. Overall the scooter is well-built, maneuverable, efficient, and a blast to ride. Definitely worth the money.
