Perfect Drill at a Great Price
This drill saved my bacon....and my wrists! I had to do a very large demo project that involved, among other things, unscrewing several hundred screws. One thing that they don't seem to mention in the specs (not sure why) is that this does indeed "reverse" with a sliding directional button on the grip part. The included screwdriver bit was perfect since I needed both flathead and phillips. The keyless chuck system worked flawlessly (first drill I've ever owned that had this). On top of that, the variable-speed motor was perfect and helped power through that entire job. Last but not least, since this is corded - which is why I bought it - you'll never have to wait for battery packs to recharge while you're in te middle of a huge project. you can just get your work done. Bottom line: I highly recommend this B&D drill. If you're on the fence, just buy it. You will be happy that you did. Especially at this price.

The perfect product if you are a DIYer homeowner
Having used a battery-operated drill in the past, I've come to appreciate the convenience and reliability of this corded model. First and foremost, the corded design eliminates the need to constantly worry about charging batteries. With a battery-operated drill, I often found myself in the middle of a project only to realize that the battery had run out, causing interruptions and frustration. With the BLACK+DECKER Corded Drill, this hassle is completely eliminated. You plug it in, and it's ready to work, providing consistent power throughout your tasks. The 5.5-Amp motor delivers ample power for a wide range of DIY projects around the house. Whether I'm drilling holes, driving screws, or tackling more extensive tasks, this drill handles it with ease. The variable speed feature allows for precision control, which is crucial for different materials and applications. Another advantage of this drill is its simplicity. It's straightforward to use, making it ideal for homeowners who want a reliable tool without the complexity of professional-grade equipment. The 3/8-inch chuck accommodates a variety of drill bits and attachments, making it versatile for various tasks. In summary, if you're a homeowner looking for a dependable and hassle-free drill, the BLACK+DECKER Corded Variable Speeds Drill (DR260C) is the perfect choice. The corded design eliminates the battery-related inconveniences, and the variable speed motor ensures versatility in your projects. It's the ideal tool for DIY enthusiasts who want a reliable and easy-to-use drill for their home projects.

Great product, beware of chuck being over tightened when arrives
Made very well and sturdy, after many hours of use it holds up well. It did arrive with the chuck opened all the way and it was a bit over tightened, I had to really use force to get it to start closing. I noticed other customers complaining about how they couldn't get it to tightened cause it was stuck when it arrived. Mine did the same, I just used my big muscles, lol but really speaking seriously it needs to not be so over tightened when its first put together and at least have product inspected before shipping to customers. I was so sick and tired of recharging batteries every time I'm half way in a project I decided to go old school and so purchased this basic drill. Well it's kinda out performed my other drills that use batteries that are twice as expensive as this drill. It has the keyless chuck, which is a must for really any drill. The drill operates at a much cooler temperature than my other bigger ones which helps when holding it for a prolong period of time. It has 5.2 Amp of power, which is plenty for most jobs around the house and the convenient constant power button that allows the drill to keep drilling without needing to press the button down. The handle is comfortable and the lightweight really helps when screwing things up high above your shoulders. I've since purchase an extra long power cord and find my self using this drill pretty much for everything. If you found my review to be of help, please click the "helpful" button below. Good price, decent drill
For the price, I can't complain. Although, I wouldn't push it as mine started to overheat. For the price, I'm satisfied. But, it's not close to a milwaukee.

Perfect for the home.
This moderately priced drill does everything I need around my house. I used it to build a new fence in my backyard and it worked great. It was powerful and it wasn't heavy. Black and Decker is name brand I trust for products that are moderately priced and it also has built a reputation for quality. I would recommend this for the homeowner who does occasional repairs around the house.

Used it everyday with no problems.
I am glad I bought it. It arrived with the keyless chuck in between fully open and closed, so no problems there. I have used it already, at least 40 to 50 times alternating from 1/16” bits to 1/8” bits while drilling thru metal. I have not had one problem with the keyless chuck. The price was right and the functionality has been flawless. Looks like I got a winner The one star reviews almost convinced me to not order this drill, but some of the 5 star reviews convinced me to give it a chance. The reason I bought this and the reasons I almost did not buy this keyless chuck drill. I have keyless cordless 3/8” drill that I use a majority of the time, but now and then I need a corded drill, because of the size of the project. Having gone thru two batteries and still not finished with the project, I started looking for a cheap alternative. I also have a corded keyless ½” Milwaukee drill that gives me fits with the keyless chuck locking open now and then. To keep the large round bits from turning inside the chuck, I have to really clamp down the chuck, then to get the bits or large stirring devise out of the drill I have to hold the chuck and hit it hard in reverse, which generally ends up with a locked open chuck. I can unlock it with an Allen wrench, but it is a pain to go thru. Given that and the one star reviews, I almost did not buy this drill. So glad for the 5 stars reviews that convinced me to give it a try. If it had a clutch it would be perfect.
