I bought these right before our week long camping trip. We hung them at the top of the tent and they were super bright. I only needed to use 1 to light the entire tent, but all 3 was super bright for the kids to get ready for bed. The loops used to hang these made them very easy to grab from the top of the tent and take them with us to the light the way outside. One set of batteries lasted the whole week. This is an amazing product!

My original review.I had two objectives when I purchased these. 1. I wanted a simple light to use at night so I don't have to turn on a bright light or keep a sleep-disturbing nightlight burning at night to avoid tripping over one of my dogs. 2. I wanted something simple that I could easily move around and attach to something so I could see better in dark corners or closets. If they turned out to be useful during a power outage that would be a bonus.It's a good thing I purchased a three pack since only one of them works. Admittedly, I wasn't expecting much given the price, however, I did expect them to actually work.REVISION. After posting the earlier review, the seller initiated contact with me to tell me they would send me another set free of charge. I've just received them and they work perfectly. While I was displeased that the first set was not up to par, I like the way the seller handled it and the replacements work properly.The light, BTW, is far brighter than I expected. The photos in the description do not show how bright these are. I expect I may have more uses for them than I originally intended. In fact, they are too bright to use as a don't-fall-over-the-dogs-in-the-dark light, which was my one of my original objectives when I purchased them.

I love these lights!! I travel extensively and sleep in my van. These lights are PERFECT for reading at night, as night lights or as flashlights. I just spent 4 days on the road sleeping in my van at the grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Montana, Colorado, etc.... the batteries are still working and I'm still using these lights. They are PERFECT.

These portable camping lights are just what I was looking for! They came well packaged with a nice thank you note from the seller. They also included the AAA batteries which I didn’t realize and was so thankful for.I bought these because in California we have rolling blackouts apparently with PG & E from now until who knows when and these are just very convenient. I didn’t have a flashlight to speak of and they were all sold out of the stores in my little town here due to the panic of the power outage. I immediately ordered these on Amazon & they got here in two days (with my prime account which I love having by the way).There are three settings; dim, bright and flashing. It was easy to put the batteries in and you can hang them up with the hook that is included or use them as a little flashlight in a drawer - which is what I’m doing from here on out. I am very pleased with this purchase

These work very well, and lend a large amount of light. I got them to put up in a canopy that is used at festivals and events. They are quick and easy to hang and have 2 brightness levels and an SOS mode. I also hung them in a tree when I was camping and they lit up the entire campsite. I ordered 2 sets of these, for a total of 6. I had one problem is one of the lights, but did not see it until after the return window closed (of course it was the one light that I hadn't tried!). One of the springs is missing in the battery compartment, so the battery will not stay in or touch the contact, and therefore the light does not work.

I bought these because I don't have enough light in my RV. They seemed in expensive and portable so I thought they would work. They are cute and they are inexpensive. They're also portable. However, they don't provide a whole lot of light. Certainly not enough for you to read by. Flashlights are better. Far better. They are at best a night light. I did use the batteries that were provided so the shortness of the life of this light bulb is still to be determined because those batteries might not have had enough wattage to provide. I will change the review if the new batteries I replaced make it brighter and gives it more longevity. I will say this for it, they're cute as heck and a kid would love them for a little camp out or whatever if you do buy them for that purpose I would go ahead and get the batteries ahead of time which I believe that their triple A's.

This comes in a pack of 3, so thankfully I had two more to fall back on. The first one I had used a handful of times for no more than 15 minutes at a time. One day it didn't turn on so I checked the batteries and realized they had burst. I unknowingly had battery acid on my fingers, and figured it out once my skin started burning.I don't know if this is a defect of the batteries they came with, or the light itself causing the batteries to burst? In either case, something was cheaply made here. Knowing this, I'm using the second bulb with Duracell batteries, and it's been fine so far.The light isn't as bright as expected; the pictures make it seem so much brighter than it actually is. But it's a fair amount. I strung it to my ceiling over my bed for night reading and it works fine.

They were a little smaller than I'd expected (I guess the product picture has someone with a small hand), although I didn't really pay attention to the product measurements (which are fairly accurate; maybe slightly optimistic). They were also a little less bright than I'd hoped for, but will probably be fine for use at a campsite (haven't tried it yet). Biggest complaint is that, contrary to the product description that says 9 AAA batteries are included in the package, there are no batteries in the box, so if you don't already have them, buy some batteries to go along with the lights. Honestly I wish the strobe function was separate from the single power switch (I can't see much use for the strobe for my purposes), but that's only a minor inconvenience. Also, if you care, the color of the light is more daylight than warm (bluer/whiter, not yellowish).

Way smaller than i expected them to be.
