Saved our JBL 4 speaker
Existing speaker suddenly went dead. Ordered this kit and took chance that if battery is bad we would be good to go if replace. If speaker has other issue then not a lot of $$ invested VS toss & buy new up front. Looked up video on YouTube which showed step by step, screw by screw installation. Was easy process and took about 20 minutes to complete. Turned on speaker when done and worked immediately. Now on charge to bring to 100% power. Battery was 14% cost of a new speaker. Pleased with battery, easy installation, end result.

Easy to install and works great.
Prior to replacing the battery my battery life was maxed at 1 hour, at most. I put the new battery in and charged it overnight and I have been listening for over 2 and a half hours and it still shows that 5 out of 5 on my battery power. I'm very happy with it so far. The tools are nice, not fragile plastic ones like others use. Battery replacement was very easy thanks to YouTube, the only complaint I have is the adhesion strips and lack of instructions included in the pack I received. There were no instructions included on how to properly install the adhesive strips and they were a bear to utilize. I ended up using electrical tape to hold my battery in tight which was a simple and easy fix.

Good product
This was the answer to my JBL speaker problem. The battery had become swollen. I couldn't fix it but my son didn't have any problem other than getting the swollen battery out of the speaker covering. I wish I'd known about this earlier. The battery wouldn't have been so swollen. I really didn't even know that they did that.

If your old battery is glued in, here's the fix
I have a Flip 4 V1 and discovered, like some others, that the old battery was glued in place. I tried gently pulling on the battery cord, but that quickly started to break. I also tried needle-nose pliers, but those just tore at the battery cover. I next tried loosening the glue's grip. Using the sharp end of metal tool that comes with the kit, I tried to gentle cut away at the glue. No dice. The battery was still stuck, so I unscrewed the compartment at the other end that houses the charge port. Once inside the charge port, I disconnected the internal cable for the charge port, allowing me to pull the charge port electronics partially outside the case. In doing so, I exposed the bottom of the battery.Using the flat head of a Allen wrench, I gently pushed at the battery out. It popped out VERY quickly and easily. I selected the Allen wrench because I wanted a large flat surface. i.e. pushing on the bottom of the battery with a pointy tip would have surly punctured it.I probably could have saved a TON of time by skipping right to pushing the battery out from the bottom. That seemed to be incredibly effective.Be EXTRA careful while working on removing a glued battery. This is a Lithium ION battery and you do not want to puncture it. If it becomes punctured, I would recommend halting the procedure and throwing out the speaker.

Does the job!
The battery is great. The only problem is the JBL company makes it very hard to change the battery. They stick it with glue, so you need some DW40 or cooking oil and then you have to pull or push the battery out. You can push it from the other side if it's not coming out easiy. That would be my recommendation. This battery so far is great!!! They say it's better than JBL's original one. Let 's wait and see...

Brand new battery will not take a charge
Easy install of replacement battery on a JBL Camo flip 4.Quick delivery and came with the handy tools.Battery delivered with a low charge. One dot out of five and you would think it would come with at least a 50%.Whats disappointing is the new battery with not take a charge. Tried multiple usb adapters through a wall power unit. Connecting Plugs seem tight and cables power up other devices fine.Bummer.

So many little annoying things....
Ok, so in my case, my old battery had experienced the Gulf of Mexico many years ago. That salt may have eroded any adhesive from the factory. So that part was not an issue. However, they did not send the proper length screws. All of my other ones had rust. Also I did not receive my pry tool and the package itself had popped open during shipping. It also arrived very late. Now it is in service. My old battery was swollen. However, for whatever reason, now I have lost most of the bass from the mini woofers on the sides. I suspect this is because I had to break some seal.Should have just bought another speaker. The battery itself appears to be ok
