heads up on the jeep JL factory bolts
This product is awesome BUT BEWARE... if you plan to instal these yourself be careful removing the factory bolts and have the right tools. The Jeep Jl door bolts are so tight you will need an impact drill and a torque tool with enough power. I broke 2 socket wrench tips and scratched the paint off my bolts pretty bad. If you take it to your local jeep dealer they are "kind" enough to instal them for you for $200. DIY when you have the proper tools, and dont forget to tape your doors in place before you remove the bolts.Instal aside, I loved these steps!

Great addition
Looks great just wish the strong out instead of screw on the side to get them down

Really like this! Sturdy. Fairly easy install.
Installed on my 18 JLU. Taped doors so they didn't move. Screw removal was fairly difficult. Kit came with longer screws to put back in, and knurled thumb screw to hold step in folded position. I used thick duct tape on back side as an impromtu gasket. Not sure if it did anything, but figured it couldn't hurt. Very sturdy. I'm 275, and held me up. Would buy again!

Rusts easily, no protection to prevent paint scratching.
I fell in love with these and the design up until about 4 months into owning them. First, the bolts to my Jeep were so difficult to get out, but that’s not an issue with this product, it just plays into the hassle. So after all 5’2” 120 pounds of me finally removed the painted on bolts, I installed these fairly easily. I do wish they had some padding on the backside to prevent scratching the actual paint of my Jeep. But now after 4 months of them being installed and weathering normal weather here in SC (rain and sunshine), they have rusted. I went to remove one of them and because of the no padding on the back side, they’ve scratched my Jeep paint. When removing my factory bolts, it also ruined the paint on them as well as all the force to break the paint seam on the bolt the heads are not perfect to install anymore. Now I purchased 4 of these - all are rusted, all caused paint scratching on my actual doors. It’s a hot mess and a sad purchase. I reached out to Hooke and they said because they can’t prove the weather they sustained they won’t help. Such a disappointment.

Good looking quality
These are nice but I see the finish and hardware not being up to par. They will rust quickly. Thinking about swapping out hardware and trying to coat everything.

Works Perfect
Looks good & works as advertised. The only downside is the chrome hand bolt that has to be removed to fold down the step is a little difficult too unscrew.

Rust to fast not a good quality product
The media could not be loaded. I order 4 and 3 came with the lock on the same side they all should be facing the same direction no matter if you put them on the left side or right side of the Jeep. I had them on just for 2 days and already RUSTED showing. You should really look at the product quality before selling

Impossible to get door bolts broke loose.
This might be a good item but it’s is almost impossible to get the door bolts broken loose. I have used a cheater bar and impact gun and the bolts just won’t break loose. Still trying to get them loosened have broke two sockets so far and not a budge.
