This set made my just-turned 9 year old nephew a very, very happy lad. He loves accompanying his Dad fishing - it's one of his favourite activities and the thing he asks to do as a treat/special outing. He's wanted a rod of his own for a while and his face was a picture when I first showed him this, because it's so clearly a proper rod.This is a neat, complete starter set supplied in a compact storage bag that's really easy to take along on holidays/outings - and not too big an ask for a kid to carry as part of caring for their own equipment on a fishing trip. The fibreglass spinning rod is nice and light, and the telescopic function works well. The 1.5m length is a comfortable size for a child (my nephew is 9 and on the short side for his age) to handle - as well as long enough to be properly controllable. The rod has a soft, synthetic handle that's comfortable to hold. The closed-face spinning reel has a smooth action.The contents of the accompanying bits box are something of a mixed bag. The set is pretty comprehensive, and the compartments divide effectively. The floats are quite poor (my brother replaced these with some of his own). All of the hooks are barbed: not suitable for catch and release fishing; banned by some sites; nastier than necessary.I would take issue with some of the description of this in terms of safety and suitability for children aged 3-10. To us, this seems an age range estimation that's significantly on the young side. Not least, as every last hook included in this set, whether a single or a triple, is barbed. This does not seem ideal for younger children learning to handle sharp hooks for the first time, and they're not suitable for catch and release fishing.We thought this should be a perfectly adequate starter/amateur rod set for most youngsters who don't yet require their own fishing licence (12 years), and even a bit beyond if fishing is only an occasional outing. But get better hooks!

Ich habe sie für mein Sohn gekauft, sie liegt zwar sehr gut in der Hand und für Ihn genau passend, nur hat die Rolle sehr viel Spiel, so das die Sehne ewig brauch zum einrollen. Ansonsten bin ich rund um zufrieden
