can it be wall mounted?

The back of the light is not flush. It’s attached to a “stand”. So it wouldn’t be flush up against the wall.

Is it remote operated? Hoping to put on a high shelf.

I’m afraid it is not. The package didn’t include a remote control, and it is not operated by voice. It can be powered by micro usb cable, or by 3 AAA batteries, and it has a button on its side to switch between 3 light modes

What happened to the music mode? All mine did was flicker like it had a short? Did not respond to music as stated on the box.

Mine came with 3 settings. All on. One going on and off. Two to going on and off. Didn't realize it came with a music setting.

If I install a plug that works with alexa, could this theoretically work with alexa then?

Little late to answer, but yes it can work with Alexa. However, the solution to this is odd and removes some of the options the product has to offer. First, the lights must be fully off, then you place tape (I used packaging tape) over the button, while also making sure the tape is contantly holding down the button. This then allows the lights to turn off after losing power, but you lose the other modes for the lighting.
