Easy Setup. Great for Better Temperature Control
I love these ecobee smart sensors. They were very easy to set up and have been extremely helpful for monitoring and controlling the temperature in rooms that often feel colder or warmer than the rest of the home. They make it much easier to keep the house comfortable and balanced. If you use a smart thermostat with your HVAC system, I highly recommend these sensors. They work great, are convenient to use, and have made a noticeable difference in comfort throughout my home.

Made my system work much better.
These have really helped my system. My thermostat is on a wall that is also the return duck going up into the attic. Because of this I have never had correct reading from the thermostat, and I have had two different ones. This one you can change the reading by setting a correction value but this still did not help me. In warmer temps it needed one setting and another in cooler. It was annoying. I got these and placed one in the kitchen and the other in the living room. What I found they do is communicate with the thermostat and they create an average temperature for the house. This has made the readings much more consistent and accurate. I am much happier now and was able to remove the temperature correction from the thermostat. They were extremely easy to set up. The are also small and do not stand out in the room. I have not had any issues with them not picking us up and detect motion well.

Love my Ecobee Smart Home ecosystem
I have a complete Ecobee Smart Home ecosystem: Thermostat, Sensors, Indoor Camera and Doorbell. The features are great and most importantly the entire setup integrates seamlessly with my Apple Home environment.

Nearly brilliant product ruined by one major flaw
Continuing the trend for Ecobee products, this is 'almost' a great product but has a couple surprisingly bad flaws. Both flaws are around installation. The first is simply adding the sensor to the thermostat. There should be an option in the thermostat settings to do this PERIOD! Ecobee will tell you all you have to do is pull the battery isolator out while in front of the thermostat...if only that worked properly...it didn't for me. In my experience this method did not work smoothly and resulted in a half-added state. Now if you can actually find the "Add sensor" option in the mobile app (essentially the option I'm saying should also exist in the device itself), it is straight forward. I've seen and used the option in the app a number of times but now after 10 mins+ of looking just not finding it. ??? The pull tab install if it worked would be a good solution but that's still no excuse for not putting an option in the device settings. One star deduction. NOTE: in the app, you need to pull up the thermostat you want to add the sensor to, tap it, select the setting menu (tap the gear icon on the upper right), find the sensors menu, and *scroll* to the bottom of the sensor list (maybe move to the top ???) to see the "Add sensor" option. The other installation issue is the wall mount brackets are so firmly locked into the packaging half the time I can't remove them without using a screwdriver or some other tool and risk scratching them. This kind of products mistakes just make me sigh. This all said, it really is a great product otherwise. With support up to 32 sensors (if you can manage to add them !), it really always you optimize your comfort settings. Plus its just super cool to be able ask what temperature it is in any place you put a sensor, seeing this in the app, and the ability to save and analyze historic data.

A must have
The ease of connecting it to your ecobee system is great just scan and follow the instruction on the app and you are good to go. Definitely get this could help stabilize the A/C requirements on your house.

ecobee SmartSensor!
Pros: Accurate Temperature Readings: The ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack provides accurate temperature readings, ensuring that your home is always at the desired temperature. Easy Installation: The sensors are wireless and can be easily installed anywhere in your home. They also come with adhesive tape for easy mounting. Multi-Room Monitoring: The ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack allows you to monitor multiple rooms in your home, which is ideal for larger homes. Improved Energy Efficiency: The sensors can detect occupancy, allowing you to automatically adjust the temperature when someone enters or leaves the room. This helps to save energy and reduce your electricity bills. Works with Voice Assistants: The ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, making it easy to control your home's temperature with your voice. Cons: Additional Cost: The ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack is an additional cost on top of the ecobee thermostat, which can be expensive. Limited Compatibility: The sensors only work with ecobee thermostats and cannot be used with other brands. Battery Life: The sensors require batteries, which need to be replaced every year. This can be inconvenient for some users. Limited Features: While the ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack is a great addition to the ecobee thermostat, it does not have as many features as other smart home sensors on the market. Requires a Strong Wi-Fi Signal: The ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack relies on a strong Wi-Fi signal to function properly. If your Wi-Fi signal is weak, the sensors may not work as intended. Overall, the ecobee SmartSensor 2 Pack is a great addition to the ecobee thermostat, providing accurate temperature readings and improved energy efficiency. While it does have some limitations, it is a good investment for those looking to monitor multiple rooms in their home and save on energy costs.

Makes Ecobee truly “smart” — big improvement in comfort and energy savings
I added the ecobee Smart Sensor 2-Pack to pair with my Ecobee thermostat, and they honestly make a bigger difference than I expected. Before using the sensors, my thermostat was mainly reacting to the temperature in the hallway. Now it actually pays attention to the rooms people are in, which is how it should work. Setup was simple — each sensor paired quickly through the Ecobee app, and mounting them was easy. They’re compact and look clean on the wall or shelf. Once connected, the sensors help balance temperatures in commonly used rooms, so I’m no longer freezing in one room while the hallway is perfectly comfortable. The occupancy detection works well too; when nobody is in a room, the system doesn’t waste energy trying to keep that space conditioned. What I appreciate most: • Better temperature balance across the house • HVAC doesn’t run as often when no one is home • The app automatically prioritizes “occupied rooms” for comfort • Range has been reliable — no connection drops so far If I had to nitpick, the included stands are very minimal, and battery replacement will be needed eventually. But overall, these sensors are pretty much essential if you already own an Ecobee thermostat. Bottom line: If you want your Ecobee to actually follow where you and your family spend time — not just the hallway thermostat location — this 2-pack is worth it. Better comfort, less wasted energy, and a noticeable upgrade to how “smart” the system feels.

You need an Ecobee Thermostat and at least 2 of these!
I was really unhappy with my Nest thermostat and was complaining on their message board when another user recommended Ecobee. I switch and I love it. It gives much more data about your usage, it reads the remote sensors so that you can average the temp in your house across all the sensors. I have mine set up so that it only reads the master bedroom at night. That way, the bedroom is always comfortable. In the morning the system switches over to other sensors so that the rest of the house is comfortable. I can check the logs on my laptop or my cell phone and see a graph of all the system activities, going back to the installation date - NOT JUST 10 DAYS like Nest. It breaks down each of these: heat, cooling, fan only, inside temp, outside temp, humidity and graphs them by time and date. This is the new standard for thermostats but their competitors have not figured it out yet.

Great if it reached all my rooms
I did not realize it did not reach my thermostat from my bedroom in a two story house. The one in the living room is ok and a great help. I wish I would have known before I purchased. This is a fantastic product, but depending on square footage it may be difficult.
