Irises in Watercolour (Ready to Paint) Paperback – May 8, 2012

I love all the "Ready to Paint" books available since I'm a novice watercolor painter and these book are great guides to painting something beautiful with a very small skill set. Would love to see more of these. Also, purchase thru Amazon always a pleasure--orders come fast and accurate. Thanks!

Nice book. Great condition.

This is really not a beginner watercolor book, which is what I expected from the "Ready-to-Paint" series. The steps are very complicated for beginners, especially if you have not had formal watercolor painting lessons. The pictures are very large (larger than the 9x12" paper). Her instructions for mixing colors is complicated and she uses many colors not in a beginner palette. It has really discouraged me from wanting to watercolor! Those who have more experience may enjoy this book, but for beginners I recommend Wendy Tait's Ready-to-Paint Flowers in Watercolour.

Great book of instruction and pictures. I have completed one painting so far and am on my second painting. Am anxious to complete more of them. They are coming out great!

Fast service, great book

I do not grow irises in my garden, so have never painted them. This seems a very good book and I am looking forward to using it.

I was drawn to this book for two reasons. The first being my love for irises and my intention to paint them in watercolour. My second reason was because of the ability through this book to trace irises, as I am hopeless at drawing, the templates are excellent.

This is a good book - especially for those starting out with watercolour. Most of the pictures are good - one or two not very exciting in terms of colour and composition.
