Being flash cards, I thought one side would have a picture with the Spanish word and the other side would have the word in English, with or without a picture. I was wrong. So if a future purchaser has the same expectation, be aware, the words are the same on each side, always in Spanish only.

I bought this for my high schooler who has had a few years of high school Spanish.The cards are quality - sturdy, brightly colored and easy to read.One side has just the Spanish word, the other side has the Spanish word next to a picture depicting the meaning.This means there's a "hard side" and an "easy side". If you are just wanting to learn the words and their meaning then look at the side with the picture and the word.If you are wanting to test your vocab, then look at the side with just the word and then flip to the picture side to see if you got it right.But there's a "bonus" way to use these cards for those who want extra challenge. Look at the pictures only and cover the word. From there, see if you can describe the picture in Spanish, then uncover the answer.This is probably the way my son will get the most use out of it. It's fairly easy the other ways for him because he's a good guesser given the word, but just looking at the picture alone makes it a challenge for him!Great set of cards at a great price!

These are good quality but they don’t have English translations.
