Truly Electrifying
For a simple looking character, he's well detailed, the interchangeable heads and hand are in great quality. They could've gone without painting the suit to give it the glow from his body, but hey, they went for it and it works well. I noticed that if you leave his hands in that are shooting electricity, he looks unproportional, I could've sworn he was smaller than The Winter Soldier figure I bought with him, but it's just the hands, a bit irrelevant to this review, but if you saw this and thought the same thing, don't worry, you're not crazy. I also noticed he has a peg hole in his back, I'm not sure what that's for...yet, regardless, Electro is a must for any True Believers looking to expand their collection.

A Solid Figure That Fails the Character
With the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Hasbro was quick to get another set of Spider-Man figures out on the shelves, and while the majority of their figures are based on the comics, two of them actually do tie into the latest film, including one of the three villains in the movie, Electro here. It's no secret that Hasbro doesn't particularly bother with actor likenesses for their Marvel Legends based on the films, and this trend clearly continues with Electro. The first thing most people will notice about the sculpt is that the head looks nothing like Jamie Foxx. This isn't an issue to me, at least not in and of itself, but where the headsculpt begins to fall apart for me personally is where it just isn't fitting for the character of Electro, Jamie Foxx or not. Electro, especially the film Electro, is a paranoid, deranged psychopath, full of rage- his facial expressions throughout the film are almost all screams or scowls once he gets empowered, but the figure here depicts a very neutral face. As a result, a character who should be twisted in anger appears incredibly calm and serene- he appears to almost resemble more a Doctor Manhattan from Watchmen than the actual source. He even comes with a second head that should be shouting, at least theoretically- it's crackling with electric energy after all, but he retains his calm expression even there. The rest of the sculpt is similarly neutral- it's an accurate representation of the costume depicted in the end of the film, it's just not a particularly interesting outfit. Solid black outside some blue "energy" wash, with a number of militaristic details in the boots and pants, as well as accurate enough muscles. It's not really an exemplary, eye-catching look, but it's a great translation of the costume on screen. His paint is another story. While the costume on screen is a pretty solid black, used to highlight the bright, glowing blue of his energy-dispersing body, the figure depicts a baby blue wash across a portion of his chest and his forearms. The was isn't as bright or as encompassing as it is in the press photos like the one up above on this page, but it's still extremely noticeable, and most importantly, doesn't really work. In theory, it's meant to look like an illuminating glow is coming off his head and hands, but in practice, it just looks strange and out of place. There's very little other paint on the figure- the torso is a solid black, and the heads and hands are translucent blue. The lighting is spruced up on the alternate eyes and alternate hands with some white paint that looks really good and makes it pop, but it's otherwise a very understated figure. The fact that its such a bland and colorless design makes the decision to give him the blue wash over his torso much more understandable, but that doesn't help it look good in practice. As far as articulation goes, Electro has: - Ball joint Head - Hinged Neck - Ab-Crunch - Swivel Waist - Ball-Hinge Shoulders, slightly restricted by his shoulder armor - Swivel Biceps - Double-Hinged Elbows - Swivel Wrists - Hinged Hands - Ball joint Hips - Swivel Thighs - Double-Hinged Knees - Swivel Boots - Hinged Feet, restricted by the boot armor. With 28 points of articulation, Electro is pretty easily capable of reaching nearly any pose that you would expect from a Marvel Legends figure, and he managed to look great in just about all of them. While a handful of the joints are restricted a bit, it's really not a big deal, and certainly doesn't damage his ability to recreate any of the film's poses. Finally, in terms of accessories, he's a huge step up from a lot of Hasbro's Legends offerings. Electro comes with two different interchangeable heads- one that is simply a neutral face, and one powered up face with electricity crackling from his eyes. While I already discussed my problems with the head sculpt above, the fact that they even gave us two different heads is pretty commendable in and of itself. He also comes with an extra set of hands- he can either have closed fists or open palms shooting electricity out of them. Both look great on the figure, and once again, it's just great that we're finally getting extra hands in the Marvel Legends series- there's not a lot of characters who don't benefit from having a spare fist for fights, and being able to get more character specific hands like this as swappable parts are ideal. He also comes with the BAF piece- one of the arms for the Ultimate Green Goblin. It's a heavily modified arm from the Avengers movie series Hulk, with a new several new pieces to include an open gripped, clawed hand, and boney spikes. The arm is articulated with a swivel-hinged wrist, double-hinged elbow and swivel bicep, with the entry point at the shoulder serving as a hinge. It also comes with a piece of flame to attach to the arm, but it doesn't stay on particularly well on my figure. That said, the fire can get plenty of mileage on its own as a battle effect for a display. Overall, Electro is actually a solid, cool figure that just fails the character its supposed to be adapting. On one hand, he has above the average articulation, a true to the film costume, and excellent accessories. On the other hand, it simply doesn't make for a very good Electro, and is held back by shoddy blue paint. Overall, I'd say the figure is a fine addition to a Spider-Man collection, but is far from the perfect figure of the character it could and should be.

Marvel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends Infinite Series Marvel's Electro Figure 6 Inches
This is an interesting toy, as it has nice coloration and different parts. My 4 yr. old grandson wanted it and loves it but he really is not old enough to keep the parts in one place. Probably this toy would be best for an older child. A 7 year old would be able to keep track of it in my opinion.

BAF
I got him on the cheap on amazon for $15. Got the BAF arm piece and sold him back on eBay for $12. So pretty much got the most sought after BAF piece for $3. It's because this figure is so ugly and useless that this BAF arm is impossible to find because no one is buying this figure except probably for the BAF part....LOL. Figure SUCKS!!!

there's not much to like about it really
Well, there's not much to like about it really. An uninteresting design, from a boring movie, and the heads are too small for the body. You get an arm for the Build-A-Figure Ultimate Goblin, which is the only reason to buy it. The body was later re-purposed by Hasbro for a much better figure.
