I have an indoor 4 month old kitten.Her newest ambition is to hide and then ambush.This is working so well for me when I get home and need to get life admin done.She originally had a tower with balls in much like this but smaller. This has allowed me to donate that toy and replace it with this.The butterfly motion is brilliant... It has a timer and it rechargeable plus it has the balls in the tower.Value is fantastic!The only odd thing about it that is has slow mode and then medium and high.The slow mode is definitely adequate if not fast!Worth every penny. And I've purchased a whole host of toys in the last 4 months

This toy keeps our 3 year old moggy occupied for ages. It's movement sensor turnes it off or on when the cat either approaches or quits playing with it. The butterfly has lasted much longer than we expected, and it definitely gets the most attention, the ball however is virtually ignored completely. The pop out ribbon could be better if there was a couple of more bits of ribbon on the rod. The toy does make a fair bit of noise, so if we want some quiet time, the cat has to play with something else, but that is a good thing, as variety is important.Who knows what goes on in a cat's mind, but we like to think this is her second favourite toy, to the old knotted piece of frayed string! Stuffed mice, feathers, cat nip filled soft toys, balls, ball maze, all were a waste of money, the piece of string was IT, until this came along!

This is a fun toy for cats, unfortunately it doesn’t have the power to beat its competitors on the market and the flying part kind of bounces and doesn’t have a great spin so sadly my cats became a little board. I’d say this would be great for a small kitten.

Although the butterflies do move around well, the butterflies themselves remain rigid as they are plastic, cats prefer, well mine do, something that is more animated like a feather cluster or even ribbons. My cats just ignore it so it’s just in the cupboard.

When the device is switched on , it swizzles around randomly but moves quite fast .( Initially I thought the sensor wasn't working properly since it appeared to work constantly without anything triggering it off :however after a long period of time it did go to "sleep ").I felt my kitten tired out with it when it was active and resorted to sitting on the butterfly to stop it moving.The butterfly was well made and robust and I have bought replacements to use without the base unit as they are so versatile and fun.Not sure how long the batteries will last since it takes some time before it switches off

I bought the toy (the green base) from another place (a store, not online) because it was on a crazy discount, however the butterflies are not very durable so I needed a cheaper but big lot of spare butterflies that will last us a while. Here the price/quantity was good. The butterflies are the same so why pay more. I am happy and the cat is happy (by the way he is not a big fan of toys but this one is brilliant, keeps him entertained and he doesn't get bored with it). I recommend.

This toy does what it says on the tin and the kitten loved it but I’ve had it for like a month and it’s already at the end of its life. He ripped the one butterfly to pieces and then the second one he pulled out the actual butterfly piece which bent the bracket on that part (that connects to the swivel piece) so that one was useless. Just brought more butterfly’s (for an exorbitant price) and the first one immediately wouldn’t work had to push it hard to get it in and the bracket bent. Second one went in but wasn’t moving quite right so pulled it out to see if it’s positioned right and the swivel piece of plastic pulled out with it. Had to pry that out with a knife and put it back on but it happens each time now.Basically the cat likes it but it’s overpriced, shoddily made and an inbuilt rip off with how overpriced the extra butterfly’s are (and you’ll be buying em cause my 12 week kitten can tear em to pieces they’re so poor quality).

This is a good toy, well priced and well made, and includes a spare butterfly. My cat enjoys chasing and tackling the butterfly but I have to turn it off when she grows tired of it as it seems to irritate her!.. Probably the noise it makes. Overall, I'm pleased with it.

So, I will say I bought the original base for these replacements at a pet store. My cat gets bored very easily and it can be hard to keep up with playtime. I figured he could use a toy that moves (he is scared of the mice that move around), so when I saw it, I had to try it out.He LOVES this thing. He waits for us to turn it on, he'll play with it when it's off (found a butterfly in front of my bedroom door in the morning), he'll play with it for hours! Set up is simple, easy, it only needs a few batteries. The butterflies are a bit fragile, and he has a habit of dragging it around, so he was without the original two for three days. We actually had to move the base away from him because he was trying to turn it on without a butterfly in, and he was getting pissy with us because we were ignoring him.I highly recommend this to any kitty who likes to play, but you have a full time job and not much energy to play with your kitty!

The media could not be loaded. All three of my cats go bonkers for this. It has a decent solid base, unlike smothers I’ve tried, so it doesn’t fall over. The butterfly shimmers and flutters and my cats can’t resist it. Need to get more! The butterfly probably won’t last super long but at least you can buy replacements. Highly recommend!

My cats love this toy. They get a little over exuberant and tear up the butterfly or bend the wire beyond use. But I have some big guys. Does not take away from their interest. There should be a way to buy extras

Nachdem ich mir die Videos aus den Bewertungen hier angesehen habe, wie die Katzen mit dem Schmetterling spielen, habe ich das für mein Kater auch bestellt. Als ich das Paket heute erhalten habe, musste ich nur noch 3 eigene Batterien einlegen ( Batterien sind keine enthalten ) unx dann habe ich es aufgestellt. Mein Kater ist begeistert darüber, der Kauf von diesem Katzenspielzeug hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Ich habe noch zusätzlich ein Paket mit 6 weiteren Schmetterlingen dazu gekauft, das ich ein Vorrat habe, wenn welche davon kaputt gehen. Mein Kater greift da auch ordentlich zu. Was auch sehr positiv ist, das Spielzeug ist total leise, man hört da überhaupt keinen Ton. Man könnte das nachts anlassen und trotzdem ruhig schlafen, so leise ist das.
