Worked wonders on zits and scars!
I decided to come out of the shadows on my amazon account to write a review for this product - that's how amazing it is!I'm in my early 20s and started suffering from breakouts after barely ever having a zit in my teenage years, save for one once in a blue moon. Now, I have patches of pimples around my chin and on my cheeks. I had no idea what to do - I changed my skincare routine, started using natural soaps and toners and moisturizers, as well as a Clarisonic Mia face cleansing brush, with few results. I also began taking fish oil and vitamin supplements, but that did not work either. A few months ago I resigned myself to the idea that my skin just wouldn't be as clear as it used to be, and began resorting to foundation to cover up the breakouts. However, I randomly stumbled upon this product on Amazon one day. I was hesitant due to some of the mixed reviews, but after contemplating for a while and with my skin getting worse, I decided it would be worth a shot, especially for the price.Well, I am so glad I took a chance. As per reviewers' suggestions, I prepped my skin by cleansing it, drying it and swabbing alcohol beforehand. The first time I had it on for about 2.5 minutes but since then I've upped it up to 5 minutes; however, I think I will be sticking to putting it on for 2-3 minutes (you might also have my same impatience I did in wanting to see results, but don't let that guide how long you put on the product). It stings a little during the process but I just fan my face with my hand to alleviate the stinging. After I wash off with cold water and let my skin air dry so it can cool off, and apply a LOT of moisturizer. The results? After a week my skin looked so much better that even my boyfriend and family noticed. Not only do I have less breakouts, my scars have also begun fading. I put it on every week for 2 weeks so far. Granted, results like these don't come without conditions - the instructions suggest not wearing makeup for 24 hours and I see why! My skin is "peeling" for a day or two after, which just means parts of my skin look dry from up close and putting foundation on top of that does not fare well... however it is not noticeable from far away nor is my skin peeling in large chunks as if my skin was sunburnt. To me, it is still worth the minor dryness that follows. Just take it easy on the peels and be patient - hopefully you will also see results! I am so glad to feel comfortable in my skin again!UPDATE 06/23/2013 - It has been months since the last time I actually used the peel and my skin is still pretty clear, except for 1 or 2 zits that coincide with my cycle. I happened to look at a picture I took of my breakouts before using this product and the difference is amazing. Less redness, less breakouts, and less skin irritation. I plan on using it every now and then when my skin is feeling rough, but I have not found the need to. I have also been using Bio-oil 4.2oz at night before going to bed and it has really helped to fade my scars. I know this peel has mixed reviews, but if you have the money, it is worth a shot to try. This product truly improved my skin when it was at its absolute worst.I added my own picture comparing my skin in April to now, in June, in the customer images section: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/permalink/mo2ZAT0X9IM9HOJ/B006ZBP8NM/ref=cm_ciu_images_pl_link

I Will Update From Time to Time
I will update continuously as I use the product.First, the shipping was fast. Ordered on July 23 and I had it by the 25th. I have a Prime account though so they have to deliver it in 2 days just as long as you order before Friday or sometimes even Thursday.Things I learned:* Be careful and don't get too excited and leave it on longer than you should. You could get burned if you're not careful.* Put on lots of sunscreen and wait 15-30 minutes before going out because if you don't, your skin will darken.* Have patience and try not to stare so much at the mirror while you're waiting.* Keep your skin moisturized. The sesame seed oil I used made my dry, flaking, peeling skin not noticeable. There's other oils out there than you can use.* Read the instructions.* Don't expect a miracle. If it happens to you, Congrats!Week 1: I did a test spot. Left it for a minute. I was too scared. Nothing happened withing 24 hours so I went for it. I read the instructions and used a cotton ball to wipe the oil off my face with alcohol. That stung a lot... I then used a Q-tip and dropped a small drop of lactic acid on it and painted my face with it. I didn't have a fan brush. I still don't. I left it on for 1 minute and then washed it off with lots of cold water. I splashed water on my face for like a minute. I was scared that if I didn't get it all off my face would melt off. Haha. I looked in the mirror and saw nothing. I'm doing this for hyperpigmentation around my face. Oh well. Didn't expect any miracle on the first time. I used a cotton ball and dabbed my face with sesame seed oil. It's the only one I have besides vegetable oil. My face was feeling itchy right after and even a couple of hours. I rewashed my face with some cool water for a longer time and then put on the oil again. I felt much better. This was my first time so my face was probably sensitive. I should have taken that as a warning sign.Week 2: After 7 days. Did another test spot the day before. No bad reaction. This time I put on the product for 1 minute, washed it off and did a second application. Oh the second application was a mistake. I put it on for 2 minutes and then parts of my face started stinging. So I quickly washed it off. While I was washing it off, I saw little white blister like things bubbling. Ewww! So I guessed I burned small parts of my face. Within the next few days, those small burned sections turned a dark color, started scabbing and flaking and the rest of my face was flaking and peeling too. Small amounts of peeling going on. Then on the 5th to 6th day, most of the peel and flakiness came off. I was using sesame seed oil and dabbing that on my face every hour for all those days. I noticed that it took away a very very small amount of hyperpigmentation, but nothing major. Week 2 was a learning experience to be careful and not overdo it. I was too excited and got careless.Week 3: After 7 days. Did a test spot the day before first. No bad reaction. I was still afraid from what happened in Week 2 and so I only left it on for a quick minute. Only very slight stinging. This time I used water with baking soda mixed into it as a neutralizer. I soaked a cotton ball of the mixture and wiped it on my face. It started reacting to the acid and making bubbling and hissing noises. Got really nervous with that especially when I started feeling it stinging a little on my face. I guess I was nervous my face was going to get burned again, but it didn't this time. I washed my face with cold water for a few minutes and stared at myself in the mirror. No noticeable changes. Sigh. Well, it's not over yet. Gotta keep going. I wasn't careful with my face all these long years so I shouldn't expect it to be awesome that quickly. I put on some oil. I've noticed small amounts of flaking in the days after. Today is the 6th day of week 3 and I've noticed a few dark areas were lighter. Slightly lighter. I think I'm going to try to focus on the darker sections of my skin first to make it more even before I do my whole face.Week 4: Going to wait 10 days rather than the 7 days to give my skin time to heal. Will update once week 4 has happened.Good luck to everyone!....Many weeks later...I ended up not doing a week 4. Got a bit busy with life and I thought why not take a break. While my skin was healing, there was a noticeable improvement of my hyperpigmentation. I noticed there was less of it. I would say that there was a 50% reduction, which is a great deal for me. I never thought it would actually work especially after only 3 weeks of doing the treatment. So now I'm restarting the treatment again.Week 1: I did not do a test spot or wipe my skin with alcohol. However I did wash my face to reduce the oils before I applied the chemical. I started feeling it after 30 seconds. I neutralized it immediately using baking soda and water. It reacted to the acid and was making some sizzling noise. My face did not itch or become red afterwards. I just put some oil to moisturize it. I decided to do small mini peels rather than take the chance of burning my face.
