Reputable seller - good cheese!
My husband has been fiending for this stuff, ever since Luka used it on Master Chef. Unfortunately, its impossible to find in our local grocery stores (including giant eagle, surprisingly!!). I was a little skeptical about buying cheese online, but it had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. The seller packaged it very well with ice packs / dry ice, and included a little reassurance note about the length of time the cheese can be outside of the fridge for, etc. I hid it in the back of my fridge for a couple of weeks, and then wrapped it up to give to my husband for Christmas. He was very surprised and excited about it. We tried it out this afternoon on our salad, and it was good! As other reviewers have stated, it's just like parmesan, only a little bit softer, and with a slightly nutty taste. And still very fresh! Not bad at all.

It is wonderful as finger food at room temperature so it would ...
I saw this while watching Lidia's Italian Kitchen and she was using it in place of parmesan. I was intrigues so I ordered this. It is a lot if cheese for me so I will be freezing small amounts. It is also salty. I used it for my pasta sauce as I would parmesan and the sauce turned out to be salty but still quite edible. It is wonderful as finger food at room temperature so it would be fine on a cheese plate as well.

Decent but Just Decent
This is a good cheese but it is only good. I was in beautiful northern Italy during the summer of 25 doing a bunch of hiking and exploring and of course loving my visits to the many local fromagerie (cheese shops) and salumeria (meat shops). It was on this trip I discovered the wonderful Grana Padano cheese. It keeps well unrefrigerated and was perfect to take on hikes along with some hard salami and some bread. Anyway, I looked all over in local shops for the cheese once back in the US to no avail . I finally decided to give this one a shot, hoping to once again enjoy that awesome taste of this Italian cheese. Well, I'd have to say that this is a bit of a let down. Not because it is bad cheese, but because it isn't close to as good as I know it can be and I was hoping for. This is the quality of cheese one would get at a chain grocery store like a Carrefour or something. It is not fantastic fromagerie cheese. It is an average cheese that is fine to eat. I'm happy I bought it, but I wouldn't buy it again. It's easy to get better cheese than this cheaper at the store. Not Grana Padano at the store (at least around me) but there are plenty of good cheeses. I'll just have to wait for my next trip to Italy to get the really good stuff I guess.

Terrible piece
The flavor was great, but they gave us a horrible piece that was 80% unusable. Instead of getting a large wedge we got a slice off the edge of the wheel which was mostly rind. Big rip-off for the price.

Good cheese with the occasional mixed Cheese, sausage and wine tray and shredded on pasta.
A good quality Grana Padano. I grate about a quarter pound at a time to keep on hand in my fridge. It is much creamier and milder than Parmesan but a good rich taste and texture anyway. The price per pound is about the same as any good deli. May try their Reggiano or Pecorino next.

Best cheese I have ever tasted!!!!
This was the best cheese I have ever tasted. It was a great way to take any meal to the next level. Also for the price you get a lot of cheese. 2lbs. lasted us about a month and we consume a lot of cheese:) Enjoy!!!

The Taste of Italy
I was surprised at the quality and freshness of the Grana Padano. Since leaving Europe, I've searched for a quality cheese like I frequently enjoyed in Italy. And I found it. Cost is a little more expensive compared to the Euro price I used to pay - but the taste and freshness are the same, so I don't mind the higher price. Shipping was prompt and the cheese arrived in great shape. Nothing I've tasted made in the USA compares - not even the artisan Padanos I've recently tried.
