Q: What material is this in can it be ironed?

It's a blend of polyester and cotton - I iron mine after every wash so no problem there - just rememeber not to have a to hot iron (since it is polyester..)

It weighs 239 grams or 8.3/8 ozs dry weight. He loves it so much he also has the short sleeved version & in different colours!

Q: What is the chest measurement for a medium?

This is all a bit vague. My shirts say "Small - Euro 48", but how that equates to British sizes I don't know. I bought the small size because that's what usually fits, but these shirts are on the generous side and they feel like a 38" to me rather than my usual 36". So I guess the Medium size might be 40" or more. Sorry not to be more help.
