Great Hook-on Lights
These are great hook-on lights that are being used for handbell music notebooks.

Great light for night flying in my airplane
So the built in panel lighting in my airplane is "OK" but I don't have adequate lighting for reading maps and checklists while flying at night. I've been looking for a red light that will save my night vision while reading a map at night. Couldn't find anything reasonably priced- the aviation suppliers sell red lights for $30-50 and up but with inexpensive LED lights all over the place it just seems ridiculous to spend that much money on a light that gets used infrequently. So when I saw this book light, with good reviews for only $7 I went for it. The light seems to be good quality construction, is compact and very bright- maybe too bright for some uses. Now remember- I wanted a red light and this one is not red but coloring in the lens with a red Sharpie marker solved that issue surprisingly well. I went flying last night and the thing is awesome. It clips securely to the glare shield and the gooseneck style mount lets me direct the light anywhere I need without blocking my view of the instruments. Nearly perfect but as I mentioned before its too bright- even on the lowest setting. So again, Sharpie marker to the rescue! This time I colored over the red on the lens with a layer of black sharpie and I think it's going to be perfect. The black didn't color the red over completely but it did cut the light down by about 1/3 to 1/2. It's still just red light coming through just not as bright, so I think it's going to be exactly what I need.

Nice little book light
I bought this not to clip to a book, but rather to clip to the edge of a lectern, for use in a room with relatively low light levels. For the price, it works really well. The light is bright enough, and the range of settings is good. The clip holds well. It is small enough that it does not block the speaker's face at all. I can't comment on battery life because I have not had it long enough to run through a set of batteries. Downsides: The adjustable neck is a little too lightweight, and tends not to stay completely in place. And the battery compartment door is stiff and hard to open. But overall it still represents an excellent value.

Works great, sturdy
Bought this to light up the panel on my exercise bike. Clips on above and bends easily to shine light directly on the bikes info panel. I am using it with 3 AAA batteries, but can also be powered by USB provided. Have not had it long enough to evaluate battery life, but I would think it would be typical of any LED light. The light has 3 brightness settings. The clip that secures the lamp is large but light and secures well. I think this lamp is a good value and provides enough light for reading or other close illumination.

Perfect for Me
I bought two of these, one for my daughter, one for myself. I use for reading in bed with the lowest level of light. I use rechargeable AAA batteries. My daughter likes the USB plug-in cord with an adapter to the outlet or to your device. Nice price for these two energy options. And three settings for the light level. This is a lot of nice features for a reasonable price. I chose it because I also like how the flexible goose neck joins the lamp in the center, dispersing light over the pages. The neck is sturdy, holds position well. So is the clamp. Of all the gadgets Iโm buying on Amazon to get my business online, this personal use one, is one of my favorites, totally satisfied. TWO OPTIONS FOR ENERGY SOURCE. The unit itself is NOT RECHARGEABLE. READ DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY. SOME AAA BATTERIES ARE RECHARGEABLE. I would hope all are using these. Always recycle batteries, never toss in trash.

Takes AAA batteries
There's nothing I don't like! The neck of it is lightweight so I know it won't hang down on me after a while, the clip is sufficient, the lighting is great which has different settings by the way and it takes regular batteries which we need more items like that because if you forgot to charge something guess what you can't use it in a pinch when you need it. So these are perfect, I highly recommend and great price, you really can't go wrong. I wound up getting two because it's not easy to find something where I can easily put some batteries in it and use right away these days. So this is a winner in my book!

A book light for you and a laptop light for me
I bought this book light to use as a laptop light. It works fairly well at that with just one issue. I feel that it doesn't grip nearly enough. Of course I don't want it to have a damaging vise grip on my laptop but Lepower omitted one thing that could have made it better. There is rubber grip on only one the clamping surfaces. Because of this the light can slip and slide around a good bit with the slightest bump or shaking of the laptop. Of course it was not made for this purpose so take that into consideration. Still it seems like it would have been an obvious choice to add grip to both of the clamping surfaces. I like that this device can be powered over USB but I find it a little annoying running the cord from it to my laptop, so I've been sticking with batteries instead. It has pretty good battery life and I usually run it on the lowest setting. It's cool that it has different lighting temperatures that you can select from. I prefer the setting that uses both the warm yellow LEDs and the white ones. The picture shows it with my overhead lights off and the book light set to the medium brightness level. I have not used this with a book at all and I doubt I ever will. I do the majority of my book reading on tablets in the dark or in daylight with paper books.

Nice little light. Im happy.
Perfect for when you need a light, but not overpoweringly bright. I like that that it isn't rechargeable and you can replace the batteries since I've had bad luck with the lifespan of the non-replaceable rechargeable batteries in other reading lamps. Being able to plug it into a usb port for power is also a big plus.
