Battery life seems good to me but i truly like the whole device.
Well I have only had this vacuum 24 hrs and I already am very impressed with it. The main reason I wanted this product is the fact the battery is removable to recharge. This means I can buy a second battery if I wish and then I can use the vacuum even longer. Most people know that a battery will die eventually which means I don't have to buy a new vacuum...just a battery. The battery life at present is great but I only have a two bed one bath condo. I find the vacuum very maneuverable. The small head allows it to go in most places in the house. It's easily directed by hand pressure. The suction also seems very strong. The catch canister is very easy to remove, empty and reinstall. The selection of attachments seems good although I haven't used them all yet but I did try attaching them to the vacuum. Very easy with the push button release mechanism. The battery is very easy to remove and reinstall also. So far I have no problems with this vacuum and actually enjoy using it. It is so much easier than my corded vacuum. I just pick up the cordless and away I go. No looking for a plug socket. No tripping over and standing on the cable. Wow. I like this machine a lot.

UPDATED REVIEW
**UPDATE, November 30, 2020.**I bought this item on June 3, 2020. That's just UNDER 6 months. The Official Update is that MY BATTERY NO LONGER WORKS!!! Per the blinking red light on the charger, it's saying that my battery pack is defective. So now I either get to buy a new battery, or enjoy my $160 vacuum as "wall art" in my laundry room where it hangs.VERY DISAPPOINTED. Changed to 1 star review.Original Review is unedited below.----------------------------------------------------For some reason I like vacuums. I don't know why, I just like them. So when the time came to look for a cordless stick vacuum, I did my research. I adopted the neighborhood cat when she got pregnant over the winter and she gave birth to 5 kittens, so with 6 cats in the house, I need to vacuum. A lot. This Hoover works quite well for what it is, but you have to understand its limitations. First of all, this WILL NOT REPLACE your plug-in (corded) vacuum cleaner. Also note that Hoover is a little .... optimistic about the running time. It is NOT 30+ minutes. It's more like 12 when you have it going full power. Let's break down what happens here: When you power it on, you get full-power suction and half-speed brush rotation. If you are doing carpet, hit the CARPET button and the brushes will spin up to full speed. If you're doing hard floors or light cleaning, hit the ECO button and you get reduced suction. When both are on full power (like I need for cat hair and cat litter), running time is DRASTICALLY reduced, but during that time, it really performs quite well.I saw another reviewer complain that all the weight is at the top, near your hand so it's difficult to keep the vacuum head on the floor and I can definitely see what they're talking about, but it takes about 5 minutes to learn how to adapt your grip to overcome this. The LED lights are really bright and I love them. My corded vacuum is a Dyson Ball, which (inexplicably for $500) doesn't have a &$*@ing headlight.... (shrugs), so having these lights is really nice!Listen, this is NOT going to replace your full sized vacuum, but it is quite powerful, very agile, lays flat to vacuum under tables and beds and some sofas (another thing my Dyson ball doesn't do), and really picks up an impressive amount of hair. If you think of this thing as more of a "Dust-buster on steroids", I'm sure you'll be pleased. This is not going to run all day and clean your entire house, but for those moments when someone sends a text that says, "Hey can I drop by in 10 minutes?" And you don't feel like hauling out the full-sized vacuum, unreeling the cord, finding a plug, vacuuming, winding up the cord and putting it away... you'll love this thing! And if you have a small house or apartment with a hard floor where you can run the brushes at half-speed and the suction in ECO mode, you'll probably love it even more! And considering the Dyson cordless vacuum are like $600 (!!) and even the Shark cordless vacuums are like $400 (!), I feel like this is a good alternative to those - as well as those other brands you've never heard of with the suspiciously Chinese-sounding names that you can find here on Amazon. Now, let's just see how long the battery continues to work well...

Had some issues, but *UPDATED*
UPDATE: Hoover honored the warranty very quickly and did not require the broken vac to be shipped back. Upon further inspection, Hoover has revised the point of failure I experienced in my review. I am hopeful this fix will work, I can only try. But it looks like an effective fix, I will update after a while. So this is great for for hard floors and pet owners, lightweight and very maneuverable. I was loving it for months. The battery holds a charge long enough for an average house. Suction is good on hard floors and the lighted brush head helps see what you would miss.Unfortunately the lighted brush head also likes to collect pet hair in the rollers and the cheap plastic gear that drives the brush. I had to clear it multiple times and it is not an easy task at all. The collection of pet hair in the gear (hidden from the user) has caused the brush head to become very noisy and seemingly on the way to failure. Imagine my surprise when I found out that brush head is a $113 part.I hope they honor the warranty at least. The motor and all other internals seem great. That one point of failure is a big deal though.

Hoover ONEPWR Blade and Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
I notice in the product description, this Hoover is described as "lightweight". I would not describe it that way. I found it to be quite heavy while vacuuming. I mention this because if you are a senior with any sorts of muscular issues in the arms, it might not be for you. Having said that, however, I found this vacuum to be acceptable after a number of failures to get the results I needed in cordless models. Firstly, this Hoover has the most power suction capability of any cordless vacuum I've ever purchased. It may not be the one with the most power, but it worked fine for me. Secondly, the battery power lasts a reasonable amount of time for me to vacuum my entire apartment. (I should say here that I have only a small apartment with 2 carpeted rooms.) It will also do a good job on linoleum. It has 3 power settings, and I especially like the lowest setting because it allows you to vacuum in places where power cords are without shredding them . If used on the lowest setting, too, the battery power lasts longer. I would say that overall this is a pretty good vacuum for a cordless, and in spite of the faxt that it is a bit heavy, I have decided to keep it.

A badly placed on / off switch
This difficult to use Hoover was designed by somebody who has never ever used the machine!Something as fundament as one switching off by mistake when it’s in use should have been sorted over 100 years ago.Very annoying - try a different brand.
