Wend Wax-On Chain Wax - Spectrum Colors Green, 2.5oz

I used this product for a year on two different new chains and found that it under performed all other "dry" lubricants and I prematurely had to replace chains (by 1,000 miles) after seeing unusually fast wear "stretch" of the chain. In the first instance, I thought perhaps I just was not reapplying as much as necessary, but with the second chain I kept up with reapplication on a very frequent basis. When I brought the bike in for a cable replacement at my local bike shop the owner/mechanic with (30 years experience) said the chain was shot and he would never use this stuff. "Put wax on surfboards, not bike chains," he said. I agree.It might be cool to see a colored chain but even using compression of the wax into the chain with a zip-lock bag (per their recommendations) my experience was it never truly reaches the bearing sleeves, it merely sits on the surface. I tried for a year to really like this stuff, but I admit defeat. It applies super easy, keeps the chain quiet, and doesn’t get all over your leg, car, hands...... when you touch your chain. That being said, it clogs the heck out of your jockey wheels and derailleur, needs to be picked out by hand, and a pain to keep up with.Today I spent 2+ hours cleaning the gunk out of my cassette, chain, and jockey wheels.... switching back to liquid dry lube.

It cakes up something fierce after a while. So it's life needs to be watched after each ride. When it's on fresh though, it is a darn smooth chain lube.

Nothing like I thought it would be. Goops wax on the chain . Not uniformly. In blotches. Very disappointed. saw an ad where it coats the chain and leaves a beautiful color. Not the case here

As much as I would love to rate this, unfortunately every time that I’ve ordered white wax, Amazon has sent me red which is funny because it’s red inside, labeled red outside and has a red lid...I ordered WHITE 3 times!!!

Helps chain movement through the gears. Can get messy when applying. Has a nice smell to it. Reapply every 100 miles approximately

I’m a wax guy so for a cleaner overall chain and it works well for me-first time with this version really softer product goes on easy -not thinking I went with a bright purple-sure is bright! Important thing works like a charm

Wanna get your jockey wheels messed up and dirty instantly? Yes? Go get this thing! After applying the wax, my jockey wheels got so messy I just decided to switch out my old chain and clean the drive system and a new chain.

Great BUT I've only managed to get about 3 applications out of the whole stick/tube - is this normal?

Leaves a thick paste on chain, you need to clean and re apply every week

It works perfectly. No mess , no dripping, no excess. It’s great.
