Place fruit into the bag and fold over excess bag material before placing your pressing plate on top. When you apply pressure with the screw, the juice will filter out through the bag. Just empty the bag and use it over again.

poor quality control
The unit came with chipped paint along the spout and 2 tabs on the legs were bent where you would anchor the press down to a work surface. You could tell the tabs were painted after they were damaged too. I will have to re bend the tabs so I can mount it. Of course, re bending a painted surface will chip away the pain so it will have to be repainted. Also consider buying a unit that is stainless as, already, when spinning the press down into the grate the grate has scraped red paint off the pressing disk. the paint ends up in your product. Otherwise, the materials are decent.
