Good bag- terrible straps and Velcro melts off
We just got back from a week long trip driving all over Utah and Arizona with this bag.PROS:This bag is plenty big enough to fill with lots of supplies. We filled with 5 backpacks, 10 life jackets and a beach bag and still had room to spare! It is made from sturdy material- weatherproof.CONS- along with a zipper, it has Velcro to help seal the lid but in the summer heat, these Velcro strips melted right off. I had to tear them off. Not a huge deal though because the zipper seals it well. The biggest con though were the straps they provide you. They don’t stay tightened! They are strong and the clips didn’t come undone thank goodness (even in the super high winds we drove through!) BUT they would come alittle loose. I had to pull over a few times in high winds and tighten them down again. I didn’t want my bag to fall over the side of my car! So if you have better tie downs, I would use those.

Worst product
One trip from southern CA to Northern CAGot to our destination, took off tie downs and unzipped bag only to find almost every Velcro had come apart and a seem opened up along one of the so called sturdy seems. Now to me using this product one time for an 11 hour trip isn’t a quality product I’m sad to say I will be asking for my money back and they should be paying for return shipping as well !!!!

I DO NOT recommend this product.
I absolute loathe this product - I would give it zero stars if I could. All of the Velcro pieces were coming off the product straight out of the box. Gave it a chance anyway, as I did not have time or funds to replace it for the trip it was intended for. The instructions for securing the bag with the provided straps are a joke, but after trial and error we figured it out.Long story short, my entire family will be sleeping in soaking wet sleeping bags - this product was not at all waterproof.I DO NOT recommend this product except as a $75 trash bag. Miserable experience.

Great for extra storage space, long trip
We used this on a 2 weeks trip from Los Angles to Corpus Christi and it worked great. It went on top of our bare roof Honda CRV and seemed sturdy and was able to hold a lot of our gear. Followed the directions for the strap placement carefully and we are so happy bought this. Now we are back to Los Angles safely.

Just About Great..... Falls Just Short
Great material, well engineered and constructed.3/4 wrap-around, double tab zipper covered by a reinforced lip with Velcro fasteners. Handles on both sides, waterproof and flexible enough to be stored easily. Hold down buckles on each corner for straps. Four adjustable straps included.A couple of issues keep me from giving it five stars; the Velcro came loose on the first trip (should be stitched), the straps were difficult to use (replaced with ratchet straps) and there's no way to lock the two zippers together for even a basic level of security. It served its purpose for our road trip but expect to get a hard side roof carrier for the next one.

CHEAP BROKE FIRST TIME I USED IT
All was ready to tighten...I only put our backpacks and pillows up top nothing heavy. Then as I began to tighten the straps the buckle broke lose I flew backwards and almost broke my leg. It’s a bummer. I feel like I followed the directions not sure what I could have done differently. I truly believe it’s just not well made. Also the velcro fell off the sides like other reviews I have read. I bought it a month ago so I can't even return it. Its ripped, I am one buckle down, and my leg hurts. I wouldn't recommend.

Stayed dry for long road trip but.....
We just completed a 2800 mile journey from California to North Carolina with the Boltlink cargo carrier. Everything stayed dry even with heavy rains but when I reached my destination point and removed the items most of the valcro separated so now I’m worried about the return adventure.Update:Our return had weather issues but now “ALL” the valcro has fallen off.Note: the valcro sits under a lip that hides the zipper. It’s a flap that keeps the zipper seat and is supposed to add more weather proofing.

Works well except for the straps
The straps it comes with are awful and don’t stay tight . I used ratchet straps instead. Otherwise it was great. 100% waterproof. I did buy a mat for under it and recommend that. Traveled nearly 1900 miles with an issue
