Miracle product!
I usually get my hair professionally dyed copper red. It is way overdo to get dyed so I wanted to try this product while I wait to get back to the salon. I let the shampoo sit on my hair for 15 minutes to help it to set. I was absolutely amazed at the difference. It is the best product like this that I have ever tried. I'm so happy!

Best tinted shampoo!
This is a wonderful product for dark red to bright red hues! My hair is a dark red and this is perfect for it! I alternate with my regular shampoo and so far so good! It doesn’t leave any stains on my hands either which is a pulse too!

Hides Gray
Love this stuff! The red (as well as the brown Color Boost) works great to make my gray hairs look more blond or strawberry, instead of gray. It looks very natural instead of looking colored.

Color boost red not as vibrant and effective as expected.
The product was not very effective when used on wet hair as stated in the directions. It will only slightly boost the color red if your hair color is still quite vibrant and has not yet faded already this product may work for you otherwise alternatives like punky color depositing shampoo might be a better option.

Doesn't work on me. And it should have, if it works at all.
REVIEWING: Color Boost Red Color Depositing Shampoo For All Shades of Red HairThis stuff doesn’t work on me; and I’m frankly skeptical it’ll work on anyone. Allow me to unpack:I’m 68 years old and a natural redhead (albeit with serious male-pattern baldness at this age). While the hair on the back of my head is now brownish-reddish-blond, the side hair has gone much lighter, sort of a blond version of grey hair… not pure white like my beard but very light. If this shampoo was going to produce a visible effect, it would probably be on age-greyed hair, and indeed the product touts that in its selling blurb on the page.I did the required skin test for 48 hours, whereby you spread some on a patch of your inner arm to see if you get horrible skin eruptions from it. I didn’t, but that does rather bring up the point that this “Best Earth Naturals” product seemingly ain’t all that natural. It’s got ingredients that are potentially dangerous to some people, and to me seem “natural” only in the same sense everything derived from elements is natural; which is to say a meaningless sense. But I guess one can name their company anything they like. This stuff didn’t give me skin eruptions, and if it had I’d have felt pretty dumb for spreading it on my arm, since I don’t NEED redder hair for any reason, I just decided to try it on a whim. However, I found it to be a harsh and artificially-perfumed shampoo I didn’t enjoy using. That being the case, the coloring effect was going to determine what value this might have.I decided to treat half my head, so others could weigh in on the effect. So I lathered the north face of my head with this stuff and let it sit for the better part of 10 minutes, wondering if my scalp was more sensitive to weird chemicals than my inner arm; and washed the other half with my usual cheap generic shampoo. The result? No color retained at all. Even told that half my head had been shampooed with this stuff, nobody under any lighting can tell which side is which, because they both look absolutely the same. Again, NO DISCERNIBLE EFFECT when judged by multiple eyes. This leads me to wonder about just who it WOULD work for, and to speculate that there may be some sort of effort-mediated confirmation-bias placebo effect going on for those whose hair is darker than mine. I’ll leave that unanswered question hanging. But I find this to be a pretty noxious and un-useful product, and can think of no rationale for any rating over one star. I’ve chucked it in the wastebasket.

Doesn't tint natural strawberry blonde hair at all
My rating is based on (1) that the product delivered zero redness over several uses and (2) the ingredients of this product are mildly toxic/not natural, and based on misleading company marketing. Details below.I don't have very red hair and I have never dyed my hair ever. I do have an Auburn tint, though, and have been described as strawberry blonde, especially in the sun. I got this shampoo because I thought it would be fun to have a temporary subtle reddish tint to my hair without it looking dyed or changing my natural color too much, more as an enhancement. And not labor intensive. If that's what you're looking for, this shampoo is NOT that.I massaged a generous amount into my hair and let it sit for 10 minutes while I showered (it will run into your eyes so be careful). It didn't stain my white shower and washed out easily. It smells like a generic flowery/perfumey shampoo (if you're sensitive to synthetic fragrances, this product is not for you. I have a very clean air environment and usually use natural, unscented shampoos and the smell of this one clung to me for 2+ days and definitely has some strong perfumes added.) I didn't use any conditioner so that I could better assess how this shampoo performed.I used a white towel to wrap my wet hair and no color came out on it but then, I also am in the habit of rinsing my hair very thoroughly, especially in this case because this shampoo has some nasty ingredients that I don't want the residues of sitting on my scalp.Once my hair dried, there was zero tint at all. I tried again 48 hours later and still no color difference. (I also used zero other hair products during this time.)My hair is fine and very permeable so it seems like it would soak up any color but nope, this shampoo added zero hint of color (and this stayed true after a few weeks of use). So my conclusion is: it's mostly a marketing gimmick based on the fact that all the ingredients are those of a mainstream shampoo just with added food coloring. If your hair is already dyed red, your brain is probably telling you this shampoo is brightening the red. Maybe it is but...my guess is the difference is minimal. As for the ingredients:*Clears throat* Oh boy, here we go....This is by no means a "natural" shampoo or okay for the environment. It's not good for the scalp nor the lungs, to put it frankly. The brand name for this shampoo is misleading considering this contains propyl and methylparabens and a host of other pretty nasty chemicals but then, legally, companies can slap "natural" on pretty much anything as their company name has no restrictions. This is a good object lesson of that corruption. If you don't care what's in your shampoo, this is for you. If you DO care but also want some pretty red hair, this shampoo is not for you.
