Admit you are getting older and want to stay in shape, BUY THIS SYSTEM
Ok, I am turning 62 in October. I don't think of myself as out of shape, just not in great shape. I have looked at some of the "younger" videos for workout. I have a hard time picking up the routine or it is too much. I had to overcome that I am an older individual before I ordered this item. I am glad I did. The routines are excellent, the dvd's are divided for upper body, lower body, core, and cardio. All excellent for me, easy to pick up, a challenge to keep up with at my condition and age. I am at the point where these dvds are incorporated into my strength routine using a stack weight system. It is a trade off to keep my flexibility and strength at a point where I can stay independent for a long time. GREAT DVD AND EXERCISE SYSTEM, TRY IT, YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY REGRETS.

Expected More...
I purchased this as the description seemed well-suited to my current situation. I'm 61 and have been off exercise for 10 weeks due to a series of injuries, and need to gently get back into a regular exercise routine. This is not a polished exercise video product. Dr. France, I can tell, knows her stuff, but the poor production value of this package is so distracting. As others have mentioned, the music is awful and the exercisers do not move in time to it. In addition, the fact that you can see Dr. France talking but cannot hear what she is saying would not be so bad if the overdubbing gave the viewer a clue what is going on. But it doesn't. There is no cueing. None. The exercisers do moves for 30 seconds, then change the move. It's not so bad on the cardio session, because you can pick up the move and catch up. The point is to raise your heart rate, and it does. This morning though, I did the "Lower Body Super Charge" video and I am speechless. The workout consists of a sequence of exercises that is repeated 3 times. There is no cueing, not even in the overdub of Dr. France's voice. There is no counting. Each exercise is done for 30 seconds, ON ONE SIDE OF THE BODY. For example, one of the exercises in the sequence is leg lifts for 30 seconds. Then you go on to some other exercise. When do you work the other leg? Well, if you can remember which one you worked in Round 1, you will of course do it in Round 2. Remember I said there were 3 rounds of the same sequence of exercises? This means that one side will get 2 sets of lifts, and the other side of your body will have done 1 set. Does this make sense? There is an exercise called "hip squeeze" that is done during the circuit. There is no verbal instruction on what this is. Watching the tape, you see Dr. France and the 2 other people laying on the floor, legs bent, and it looks like they don't move for 30 seconds. There is silence. What are they doing? If it's a "hip squeeze", I can't understand why the overdubbing is not instructing that at-home viewer what the movement is. The quadriceps stretch shown at the end of the workout requires a second person to put a rope around your foot. This is supposed to be for at-home use...why not show a standing quad stretch as a variation? I do not get it.Conclusion: If I hadn't opened it and used it, I would return this. It's too bad, because I can see that Dr. France knows her stuff. It seems like she needed a production team to polish up the product with much more consideration for the at-home viewer's experience.

Music selection horrible and annoying
Video and sound quality is very low. Music selection horrible and annoying. Excersizes are great for seniors or people with injuries, like me. Once I understand the excersises I turn the volume off so that I dont need to listen to the music and just follow along with the excersises on screen in silence. My 3 stars is for the excersises alone.

Workout Videos for Seniors - Beginner Friendly..
These videos are certainly for seniors, especially for seniors with health problems. I like the slow easy method she uses to teach the various movements. Many of the exercises are similar to those taught in physical therapy that we should all continue to do but we don't. She has 4 disks in the set and the first three have to do with specific sections of your body and the fourth one is more advanced. I especially like that her models are average senior citizens who need help. Her tone is encouraging . Each CD is repetitive but she focuses on doing the exercises correctly and without too much strain. I am impressed with these workout videos. If you are looking for a slinky instructor with beauty queens behind her, this isn't it. If you are a senior citizen who wants a good, practical workout, this is for you.
