If a different parameter is being tested, it will need a new Pocket Pro rather than a new sensor as the calibrations are held in the meter portion. If you are switching the sensor from pH to pH, you can use them interchangeably. **Q: When we need to change the sensor** A: You will need to change the sensor at any time past 6 months of use. It will depend on how often the item is used, how well the item is cleaned, and the sample type that is being measured with the item.It is advised to change the sensor any time after 6 months that you fall out of specification with a known pH buffer (+/-10%) and are unable to re-calibrate due to a slope error occurring. **Q: Does it need to be calibrated before each use?** A: Not in my experience. I did that for the first 20 or so times I used it. I didn't notice a drift. Some apparently drift more than others. Mine seems stable... maybe calibrate more to begin with.
