It’s my fault I guess. I didn’t read carefully enough. The shorts are nice quality, soft fabric, good fit, the mesh insert has a close, tight weave, the elastic and drawstring are great. The patterns are fun and stylish.The problem is I was looking for shorts that aren’t so long. But evidently the shorter style is only for toddlers. “Big boy” sizes are long. The long shorts actually RESTRICT mobility and yet they’re advertised as doing the opposite. And when your boy is shorter and stockier he might as well be wearing gauchos. But it’s my fault for not reading the details closely enough.They’re nice shorts and will be used plenty. But I’ll have to keep hunting for shorter trunks too.

Bought father-son matching trunks for my husband as his Fathers Days gift. He LOVES them! They are just the right length and cut right. Liner is great. Will be buying a second pair!

I searched everywhere for above the knee swim trunks that my 10 year old HAD to have, these were the only ones I could find. They are a little bit longer than he wanted but overall good! He is pretty skinny and average height so I am not surprised at length! Very happy with this purchase!

I’m hoping these fit next year. They were shorter than the usual swim trunks, which is what I was looking for. Perfect length, and fabric was good quality, but not the thin fabric we love the most. They have a mesh liner. They are a little too big in the waist, but the drawstring helps fix that. They seem to rub my little boy’s thighs every time he wears them, so I’m hoping it’s just because they are still a little too big. He’s used to wearing the tight fitting speedo type shorts- he hates the feeling of wet baggy swim trunks on his legs. We will try these next year, hopefully with better luck.

We got a 2t for my 2 1/2 year old . He had a small waist so without the adjustable waist they would have been to big ! Love the adjustable waist now he can use these for a few years. Awesome shorts!

My 13YO son specifically asked me to leave a review for these shorts because he is so happy with them. He is lean and average height, and likes his shorts to look a bit tailored versus baggy or oversized. The size 10-12 shorts fit him perfectly. These are similar to Chubbies and Trunks, but much more affordable. He has several pairs of these that he wears to school, and constantly receives compliments on them. Note in the description that bigger boy sizes have a longer inseam, which isn’t depicted in the main photo.

My guy is 8, 79 lbs, lean build. I ordered size 8 (pink on right) and also size 7 (blue on left) because I've found that I always have to buy a size down in boys' swim suits. The 8 swallowed him. The 7 fits perfectly. He prefers a shorter swim suit and the 7 is shorter. In the fine print, it says the inseam for size 8 is longer than for size 7 as you can see from the photo. I think the fabric feels cheap, but he loves the suit; so that's all that matters I suppose. It does come with built in mesh underwear which we cut out.

These shorts are great. So much better than I even expected. My kid is short and thin and these for him appropriately. Most other shorts are too long. The drawstring is functional and the mesh lining is soft. They colors have held up after wear and washes.
