These speakers look and sound fantastic!Excellent bass and clarity.Had to gently pry off the plastic bezel that's on the speaker to fit my install but was easily removed.Then they dropped right in and aligned perfectly.2005 Honda Accord rear dash.I will be buying JVC's matching door speakers now for sure!

Bought to replace my25 year old speakers. They fit great and have good sound.

I got these for an old Honda that had no rear speakers. After about 50 hours of play time (yes all speakers require a bit of running in and breaking in time) they sound great. The head unit is a no frills Kenwood that simply plays radio, bluetooth, connects to my phone, USB--loads of sound figs. The door speakers (it's a 4 door Honda) are simply the stock Honda speakers. I was not looking for super hi fidelity but changing the stock radio/CD player out (it broke), adding the Kenwood and rear speakers--bang! great music.The original honda covers to the speakers do fit over these but one unit is not laying back on the rear deck quite right. I'll run a zip tie through rather than drill or spent hours to snug that corner down .Good to go!

Even without an amp these were sounding really nice. With an amp, even better, I was now hearing so much high end and mids that my stock system badly lacked. With an amp the bass output is ok, but it's not going to be the same unless you add a sub. For a budget priced speaker JVC does not disappoint. They aren't Rockfords but are darn good for under forty bucks. You won't be sorry to get these especially if you are on a budget. Definitely an upgrade over stock. I did break off one of the speaker leads because it was so hard to plug into the Metra speaker adapter, more the fault of the tight Metra fitting but still be careful, you can only put so much pressure on the tiny speaker lead that is welded to the JVC. It still works, no issues, it's just that one speaker lead hangs a bit off the speaker. Not the fault of JVC just be careful with the leads if it's a tight fit, loosen your female end of the speaker plug a bit coming from your speaker wire and you'll be all set. A solid buy.

Speakers sound great. They work fine in the house in small speaker cabinets. The larger 6x9 woofer gives good bass response that is not possible in smaller speaker sizes - no wonder car makers have been using this size for many years. Another bonus for using these in the home - the speakers come with the mid range and tweeter and crossover circuit, which makes for easier installation in small cabinets. In my case, I used reflex tubes for better sound and air flow.

They are not good speakers. Do not listen to anyone that has wrote a review. They are not worth the money, move on to another brand. They will absolutely kill your bass when properly wired. If I could give zero stars I would, they are worse than stock!!! I needed a set quickly because I blew a factory speaker. Just wanted something to work while I waiting for parts to be ordered. Well that was a mistake. These are the biggest POS speakers you can buy. -5 out of 10.

They are good for replacing the OEM speakers. Even with the low price, the mid-range sound is very good. However, the base is weak. For most cars, this might be actually better becase it will make the sound felt more clear in cars without too much sound proofing insolation materials. They are not designed for luxury cars.
