Jazz Improvisation for Keyboard Players: Complete Edition

SUPERBOOK, BUT...
... you need to have autonomy for programming you own exercises based on the theory that the book give you. With only one line of theory you see in this book, you need to practice in all keys and in many forms, but you need creativity for doing this. No dude, this is an excellent book.

logical and Accessible
This book starts at a level easily matched by the student with intermediate piano skills and takes him/ her to a very sophisticated level if they put in the time to get the patterns under their fingers. A great pathway toa higher level of musicianship

A Great Text Book
I'm just getting started, but this book goes at a speed that I can keep up with. I know a bit of music theory to begin with, but this is a great approach for becoming a soloist or accompanist.

Good book to use for teaching yourself.
It's good. You do the work of learning rhythms and chords. It progresses through Jazz theory and has good examples to follow and learn. The details are there without it being difficult to follow. Also you start out at the beginning. and progress fairly quickly.

Absolutely wonderful book that gives you infinite source of exercises
I am a music producer and professional bassist. After a couple of years of piano classes in my production school I got interested in jazz comping and at some point got stuck when it came to jazz improvisation. I would always end up sounding either classical or just cheesy, but never really jazzy. This is where Mr. Haerle walks in and gives me the clue to this art. And also infinite source of practice hours. You never really get tired of revoicing your changes with the new, even more wild shell voicings than before :) Great book for non-pianinsts and composers who were searching for the key to the jazz world.

OTTIMO
