I purchased this last week and have used it twice since then for projects around the home — running an HDMI cable in the wall for a sound bar and installing a new AC outlet. This magnet and chain system made both job incredibly easy, but there was no insulation in walls in these two projects. I think had there been insulation it would have been difficulty for the chain to fall down the wall and therefore would have used my fish tape. How to use it to install an HDMI cable in the wall for a sound bar (for example): - Anchor the top end of the chain near the hole where the sound bar will be mounted - Drop the chain in the wall through the top hold near where the sound bar will be mounted - Through the lower hole where the DHMI cable will come out of the wall, use the magnetic wand to locate the chain and pull it towards you - Once you can see the chain, use the included hook to grab the chain and pull it though the hole in the wall - Tape your HDMI cable to the metal chain near the bottom hole in the wall and pull the metal chain back up through the top hole Pros: - Easy to use in walls without insulation - Magnets are powerful and make it easy to find the chain in the wall. - Comes with a small black carrying bag Cons: - None I’d recommend this product

The magnets are strong and it comes with 3. 2 on the bendy thing and the hook has one on the back. Lot of versatility to this tool. The chain is also pretty strong and held up on a tough wire run.

It comes in super handy when combined with gravity, but when trying to fish something sideways, the magnet just isn't strong enough.

Why didn't I discover this sooner. Years of fighting to snake wires down walls. Been an electrician for almost 15 years this little gizmo is my favorite tool for snaking. Especially if you need to run Romex to an existing box. Great quality lightweight chain, and the wet noodle is robust with a strong magnet. Just buy it you won't regret it

Yesterday I accidentally dropped a key into the deep dark abyss of my Ford Fiesta's parking brake, under my seat belt clip. It's impossible to get anything out of there by hand, the car would have to have the center console taken apart. I came across this magnet fisher and ordered immediately. It came overnight and thank goodness I fished out my key in under 2 minutes with the help of a flash light! Good Gravy what an awesome invention! Where have you been all my life? A must have if you've dropped a key in a crazy hard to reach place! It will save you time, money and patience.
