No complaints other than it is a little loud, so we glued some rubber feet on, which helped tremendously. Other than that, it runs like a top and adjusts fairly easily.

Firstly, the 6"-9" recommedned water level is terribly inaccurate. Anything deeper than 3-4" will cause the skimmer to overflow at high speed.I was told to keep it at the suggested water level and let it overflow until it stops. Unfortunately, after waiting 3 weeks, it DID NOT stop overflowing.I had to raise it even higher than the 6" minimum the instructions suggested. I would estimate it is sitting in about 4" of water at the moment.Even at this water height, the skimmer will randomly just start filling up the cup very quickly, to the point that it is overflowing within a minute. If you're not paying attention, you could dump all the skimmate back into the sump at once and have some awful issues.Another issue is the valve to adjust the water level, it has NO TENSION whatsoever, meaning the slightest little bump can open the valve and cause the skimmer to overflow.Way too many downsides for me to recommend this skimmer. Get yourself a TUNZE instead and you wont have these issues. I regret trying a new brand.

Nice effective skimmer, got loud at times, but frequent cleaning of the air line keeps the noise down. Glue that holds it together is weak, many of the structural pieces needed to be reglued on. Pump started erratically working at about 6 months. It kicks on, stays on for about 2 minutes, then dies for a few minutes. Power source/outlet are fine, and pump was cleaned regularly.Edit: I contacted Coralvue service and they are sending me a warrantied pump, 6 months after purchase. The process was easy, and although they asked for alot of information (pictures, etc) they stated that the feedback would be useful for their quality control.Upgraded to 4 stars from 3.

I’ve been a reef tank enthusiast for quite a while, and owned Eshopps, Tunze and Avast Marine skimmers among others. This little guy, hands-down, is the best I’ve owned. Extremely sturdy and gorgeous with clear, white, and orange acrylic. Disassembly is a snap with four slotted screws. This thing started skimming almost immediately and has consistently pulled out a cup of tea colored skimmate every few days from my 40 breeder mixed reef. Water level adjustment is awesome with a gear-reduced gate system - very quick and easy to make adjustments. All gaskets are silicone. Best $140 I’ve ever spent on a tank!

Never got to use. Arrived with broken part and water stains indicative of previous return or two

Best skimmer for the money on Amazon. I have owned an aquarium store. This little skimmer I have on my 150 gallon aquarium. The footprint it’s so small that it fits anywhere. End it functions better than the big boy skimmers that cost three times as much.

Love this skimmer, 24 hours in and already starting to pull stuff. And way more quiet than my bubble magus. I have a 40 breeder with 20 gallon sump. Great skimmer 👍🏻

Spend the money, buy a nicer one. No instructions included. Try to figure it our yourself. After company complaint, they sent instructions to a different skimmer with similar but not same parts. I am not a rocket scientist. Please give me correct instructions for the unit I purchased. Bottom walls do not attach to stand skimmer up/hold pump in place. Pump comes disconnected when trying to drop unit into the sump. Skimmer cup continues to overflow dumping contents back into the sump.
