Air Vent Cover

Was easy install - just be sure you are level & push into standard 4" vent pipe - 1 minute max. Little protrusions snugly lock it in place. (I cleaned vent out with long brush 1st). Done. Looks great. No need for silicone sealant, screws, gasket. Seems well built, all stainless so should last a long time. It does make a little noise when dryer is on if you are outside next to it - hardly noticeable. Dryer makes some noise even without vent cover on. Can not hear it inside house. Not a problem to me, so, I did not add extra sealant, tape, etc to inside bottom of flaps or bend to silence it as some others did. More money than the plastic ones - but worth it, I think. WAY nicer than the plastic one I had that was sucked out by a hurricane and blew away to who knows where. LOL.

I purchased this over less costly options because I am willing to pay for quality. This vent cover did not disappoint. It is sturdy, functional and the description and size is accurate. I used this for a dryer vent on an 5” exterior brick wall. As the tube on this cover extends 2” I used a 4” end cap to make up difference. No problems on install. I did not use screws that came in package because I didn’t want to drill holes in brick. The clips on the vent tube probably would hold it secure but I also used a few dabs of silicone adhesive to hold it firm to brick. The flaps work as advertised and are not noisy

Purchased these after the previous plastic vent was dried out by the sun. This seems like it will hold up much better from the elements, however my son hit it with a soccer ball and the fins fell out. Was able to reinsert easily though. Does make some rattle on the outside with dryer running but not bad.

Looks great, easy to install and excellent quality. We were replacing another plastic one, which crack & crumble ebery few years. I wanted metal / stainless steel, but was worried about it being noisy based on some reviews I read BUT -- It does NOT rattle or make any noise at all! Vents lift open maybe halfway and stay up the whole time while the dryer is running. I would definitely recommend this item and would purchase again.

Wow, compared to the plastic vent that this replaced, this is a much more robust and better looking unit. Not an exact size match for the plastic one it replaced so had to cut to fit the shingles a bit to make it sit flush. But well worth it for the quality appearance.

This outside dryer vent cover is great. Like some reviews state it’s kinda loud. But only outside and in the laundry room. I will take the little bit of loudness in return for a sturdy and very functional dryer vent cover that it definitely is. I am pleased and expect to get a long life and good service out of this product.

The flaps on this are noisy if you're using them for a dryer. They are thin and flap nonstop and are loud enough you can hear it inside.

Great dryer vent cap. A little sharp around edges. Works well, no damper clapping. Easy install with provided screws. Straight discharge better for cleaning of vent pipe.

This metal dryer vent cap is far more durable than a plastic one.
