Realspace® MFTC 200 Multifunction Ergonomic Super Task Chair, Black

I was in need of a new desk chair. I have a male cat that is not declawed. He loves kneading on my faux leather desk chair. He has totally ruined the high back sides and seat. I needed something that wasn't as plush on the sides and would not attract him to kneading but still comfortable. I've had this chair for a few weeks now and my cat has not once tried to knead on it. It is comfortable with 3 different adjustments. It took me a few tries to get the adjustment right for me. I love that the arm rests are adjustable. The adjustments are easy to use. The material on the seat is a little scratchy if I'm wearing shorts but not to the point where it irritates my skin. It's just not leather or plush material. It's mesh just as it's stated in the description. This is a great chair and great price! Easy to put together. Took about 15 minutes. I love it!

I am very particular about my chairs because I have arthritis and sitting for long periods of time causes me pain. This chair provides great support in the lumbar and is adjustable in many ways. Each armrest can be adjusted to its own height; the chair back adjusts back and forth, the seat itself tilts at several angles, and of course the chair height is adjustable. Chair is designed for long hours of productivity, not just to be comfortable for 15 minutes or so. Price was reasonable for the quality. I actually looked at this chair at an office store and then found it $50 cheaper here at Amazon.

I use this chair while working at my laptop on a table with a DeskCycle beneath it. My old mesh chair didn't have an adjustable ergonomic back, so I had to use a cushion behind me that was constantly slipping out of the way whenever I cycled. With this chair, I can have my lower back supported while I cycle and work on the 'puter! I love the fact that this chair has so many different ways to adjust the height, back angle, back tightness, arm rests (which my old chair didn't have), etc. The arm rests are great for resting my arms while reading online, for example, but unfortunately cannot be raised high enough to be useful while maneuvering the mouse (yes, I could raise the seat height more, but then my knees would be banging into my table when I cycle :D ). I also want to praise Office Depot's customer service: the back cushion arrived with a small hole in the mesh, and they shipped me a new one within days of my contacting them.

Arrived quickly. It was easy to assemble. Works as described. It's too soon to comment on its durability.

At first it seemed like a quality chair and it was comfortable to sit in. Then, just after barely 2 months of use, I found my backbone grinding against something hard. I looked and found that the mesh on the seatback is coming off. It's pulling out of the seam. There doesn't seem to be any method by which it was attached other than pushed into a seam surrounding the seatback. I'm an average sized man so there is no untoward stress on any part of the chair. And, of course, it didn't occur until a month after the return date.

The chair is comfortable, it seems sturdy, but it was very squeaky right out of the box. I sprayed a bunch of WD-40 in there and the squeaks went away.

It is worth the price.
