Green Lantern Classics Lantern Animals B'dg, Dex-Starr, and Despotellis Collectible Figures

Seriously though, this set has Dex-Starr. Who is an Earthly house cat. Who vomits lava rage. And is a Red Lantern.I mean, Despotellis is kind of weak, and B'dg is adorable. But you're really going to buy this set for Dex-Starr.It's a great three piece set that accentuates my geek shelf quite nicely. It's an odd choice to have Dex-Starr standing, but he easily balances on his tail. Okay, so this is kind of a dumb item, really. Don't get me wrong, I'm working on a complete collection, and it wouldn't be complete without these figures, but I really think they could have done better. Dex and B'Dg are fine - They're in good scale to the other GL figures out there, and for their size, they have decent articulation. Despotellis, however, is a complete joke. He looks like a diseased penis with legs. Creepy. Also, he comes off very much as a $.25 gumball machine toy, and has about as much quality put into him. I really think they could have easily found another smaller character to replace him in this set - or even if they'd done a couple ring constructs in the box, that would have been better off. Now, on the other hand, the Build-A-Fig of Stel that comes in this series, which this item holds the upper torso for, is AWESOME. My Stel is almost complete, I just need to get his left arm from the Star Sapphire figure. He TOWERS over the other GL figures, even over the Arkillo Blackest Night figure. Let me just say it like this - Stel makes this item worth it and THEN SOME. So, if you're buying the complete set, YES, you will want this item, B'Dg and Dex-Starr will amuse you, and your finalized Stel figure will BLOW. YOUR. FRICKING. MIND.

I bought this product for my husband who is a DC action figures collector. He loves it! These figures are not recommended for small children so the durability on all DC action figures are not the best as they are really not ment to be played with. Always follow manufacture recommendations on age.

I'm a huge Green Lantern fan (and a huge Dex-Starr fan) and am adding these to my collection of Green Lantern character figures. I was looking for just Dex-Starr the Red Lantern, but when I saw that this pack also came with B'Dg, I couldn't resist. The inclusion of Yellow Lantern Despotellis was a non-factor in my decision.Overall, the B'dg and Dex-Starr figures are nicely done, though a little flimsy. These will be sitting on a shelf (yes, OUT of the packaging) so it's not that big of a deal. But, if you have kids that will want to play with them, I can't recommend these. They seem like their heads would pop off quite easily.The Yellow Lantern figure is an absolute joke. It is tiny, and kind of translucent. I can't really make out any of the details on him. I guess he's a popular enough character to warrant a figure, but I'd never heard of him. This figure did nothing to grow my appreciation of him.Honestly, I'd have been just as happy to pay a 1/3 less and leave Despotellis out completely. Or, pay the same price, and have slightly larger figures of Dex-Starr and B'dg. All 3 characters are pretty small, but too large to be considered "scale" with the other figures in this collection.

I really just wanted this for Dex-Starr. I won't open it, but the toys actuay look neat. Well except for Despotellis, I'm thinking they threw him in becaue he was easy.

Okay these aren't really anything special. That being said, if you're a Lantern Corp fan/fanatic you'll want these. Despotellis is the most generic one of the three. It almost looks as though it should be a .50 toy from a gumball machine. B'dg is fierce in his cuteness and if you've read Green Lantern #55 (The Brightest Day Series) then you love Dex-Starr anyway. If you haven't well he's neat to stand next to Atrocitus. That is if you have Atrocitus. Get them if you have a couple extra bucks to burn and you haven't gotten Kilowog or Arkillo.
