This isn’t a Bic plastic mechanical pencil
This is an excellent mechanical pencil. It writes really smooth, feels comfortable and the price is what I would pay for a non plastic pencil. I like grip feel on it. My only complaint would be I ordered the silver color but got dark blue instead. I recommend the Staedtler Hexagonal mechanical pencil if you’re looking for a even more high quality mechanical pencil. Overall I am pleased.

First impression: great
1. It is made in metal and not plastic. That is a huge plus.2. I have used it for only 1 day, but it is balanced, not too light not too heavy, and feels great3. I also like the color.4. I am just not sure about the non-smooth section where it leans on my fingers. I hope I will feel comfortable after long writing sessions.

It's solid
It's a fine pencil, all aluminum with a plastic insert. It feels light and balanced, many strong features. It's only weakness with all pencils like these is take care to never drop them. If it's tip hits the ground first it will bend rendering it unless, unless you have the skills to straighten it back out. Never leave it unattended either, some people have sticky fingers for your quality writing implements.
